Brush, brush,
brush!
Helping your child keep
their teeth for longer
There are now a variety of brilliant brushing apps available for children
to assist them in their tooth brushing routines. Here are a few that we thought
looked good fun!
Brush DJ – This app
motivates the user to brush
for the recommended two
minutes whilst they listen to
songs chosen randomly from
their device.
Brush with Jackson –
This app is recommended to
be used under supervision
whilst it encourages children
to brush their teeth alongside
Jackson Rabbit!
This app also now includes
animated videos explaining
how to use products like
floss and interdental
brushes.
Jackson Rabbit completes
certain actions, such as
‘playing’ his toothbrush with
various instrument sounds, to
keep children amused.
SHIPS WHEEL
Once again, our Head Nurse Sandra Gates has created an
amazing work of art for us to display as part of the Cromer and
Sheringham Crab and Lobster Festival. This year the item is
a large wooden ships wheel. It will be displayed in our front
garden until August so make sure you come and take a look!
There is online voting for the best wheel, so please vote for us
at www.crabandlobsterfestival.co.uk. THANK YOU!
Nurdles – A catchy song
is used in this app to get
children bopping whilst
brushing their teeth! With all
the fun involved, they’ll have
finished brushing their teeth
before they know it!
For each successful brush,
they are awarded a Nurdle
star that they can swap for
items to dress their Nurdle in!

The Corner House Dental

taking part in this year’s Race
for Life. They will be completing
the 5km race on Saturday 16th
May at 2pm. Please give them
a cheer if you see them there!
They are trying to raise as much
as possible for Cancer Research
UK as it is a cause very close to
their hearts, so if you are able
to donate please pop into the
practice or visit their Just Giving

Every donation really will make
a difference. Thank you.
WE VALUE YOUR FEEDBACK
Patient survey - the results
We recently ran a survey to ask our patients their opinion on all aspects and areas of the practice. Many thanks to everyone who
completed a questionnaire for us as it helps us to understand what is great about the practice and what we can improve upon.
Some of the results from the survey were:
- 100% think the reception staff are helpful
We also received some positive comments,
such as:
- 95% said they are efficiently dealt
with at reception
- The practice is run efficiently
- 95% said the waiting room is relaxing
- 100% said the dentists are caring
and friendly
- We trust our dentist!
- The reception staff are always most helpful
- Everyone is competent and professional
We would like to say thank you to everyone for
taking the time to provide us with your feedback.

Kiran Arkala is now a partner in the
practice. This means he will take a larger
role in the management and running
of things.
------------------------------------------------We will soon be welcoming one of our dental nurses,
Laura Stevens, back to the practice after having her
first child last year.
------------------------------------------------Manasa Arkala has now joined us as a permanent
member of the team. She had been helping us
temporarily, covering several maternity leaves.
National
Smile Month
18th May-18th June 2015
National Smile Month is the UK’s largest and longest-running oral health
campaign which aims to improve the UK’s oral health state by raising
awareness of oral health issues and promoting key messages to help
maintain a healthy mouth. The three key messages are:
* Brush your teeth last thing at night
and on at least one other occasion
with a fluoride toothpaste
* Cut down on how often you have
sugary foods and drinks
* Visit your dentist regularly,
as often as they recommend.
Throughout National Smile Month we
will be running a quiz to guess the
amounts of sugar in various foods
and drinks, with a prize for the most
guessed correctly. Quiz sheets can
be found in the waiting rooms or are
available from reception. The closing
date is 19th June 2015. Good Luck!
