The S&A Group is the UK’s largest independent strawberry grower. The Group, which also produces asparagus, uses
modern and innovative growing techniques and has a thriving year round soft fruit import business. Our principal
customers include the major multiple food retailers.
We currently have the following full time, permanent vacancy within our commercial department, based in
Herefordshire:
Commercial Account Manager
The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the management and development of key customer sales
accounts.
The main duties and responsibilities will include:
 Managing and overseeing specific customers’ sales accounts.
 Monitoring supply performance on a weekly/monthly basis vs. budget
 Developing and maintaining strong and productive working relationships with customers whilst instilling
confidence in the supply relationship.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and previous experience:
 Previous experience and sound knowledge in managing accounts in the fresh produce industry or a closely
related sector.
 Strong communication skills.
 Able to develop productive working relationships.
 A flexible, thorough and responsible approach to their work.
