Welcome
“Laissez Les Bon Temps Rouler!!!”
(Let The Good Times Roll)
WELCOME to Mardi Gras…otherwise known as the 19th CAFNR Ag Unlimited
Banquet and Auctions. We hope you find tonight’s event as enjoyable as happy
hour in the New Orleans French Quarter as you catch up with old friends,
encounter new ones and share in the excitement of the evening. We also
hope you find a few items that make you want to splurge! Remember that
your generosity helps support student scholarships, activities and educational
enhancements within the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources
(CAFNR). “Nous espérons que vous serez genereux” (We hope you will be
generous).
Because of you and fellow friends and alumni, more than $520,000 has been
raised to benefit CAFNR students through scholarships and other student
activities. These funds have aided in our College’s recruitment efforts, enhanced
its educational facilities, and supported opportunities for our students to gain
real-world experiences. We sincerely appreciate your participation in this event
and your continued dedication to the College. “Merci beaucoup”. With your
support, tonight and throughout the year, we will continue to provide students
with the opportunity to enhance their educational opportunities.
This event takes an enormous number of people working together to make it
a success. We owe a huge thank you to our sponsors, contributors, alumni,
students and friends – each of you has made this evening possible. Thanks again
for being a part of CAFNR Ag Unlimited 2013 and for your continued support
of the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources and its students.
Enjoy yourself, and be sure to bring a couple of friends with you next year!!!
“Meilleurs voeux” (best wishes),
