Cottage and Backyard Show Springs Homeowners
into Outdoor Summer Living
Wednesday April 1, 2015 - Ottawa - Winter may still be rearing its head, but the 15th season
of The Cottage and Backyard Show is moving full "Spring" ahead with a weekend packed full of
warm weather inspiration, tips and tools. Ottawa-Gatineau homeowners can satisfy their craving
for luxurious summer living at the Show, April 10-12, 2015 at the EY Centre, 4899 Uplands Drive,
next to the airport.
"This has been an especially tough winter for Canadians and this show comes at the perfect
time!" said Ian Forsyth, show manager. "Our goal this year was to create the ultimate cure for
the cabin fever we are all experiencing, and give visitors license to finally get excited about
opening up cottages, dusting off boats, planting gardens and starting new projects."
With exciting feature areas, including a Magical Fairy Forest for the kids, a General Store
featuring handmade gifts and collectibles, and a floating Dock Party with drinks and live music,
this show is sure to bring some much needed summer fun to Ottawa.
Show organizers are also celebrating the growing movement towards mini-homes and microcottages. Lumbec Inc. will have a complete "Tiny House" on display at the show, which packs a
complete cottage experience into less than 400 square feet.
