Hello Everyone
Wow! April already and I can’t believe how fast this year
is flying by! It is also hard to believe we have been a
year in our new shop! Happy Easter to you all.
With it being a long weekend I’m sure you will all have
time for a bit of stitching ….

and a trunk show
with Jen Kingwell
from Australia. Jen
has designed some
amazing quilts and is
now producing
fabrics for Moda!
I just love her look!

April is proving to be another busy month with a visit to
the Blue Mountains next week for a conference with
Handi Quilter. I can’t wait to learn new ideas and
techniques and to be able to bring back new ideas,
techniques and products to you ladies who have
purchased these wonderful quilting machines.

some of these patterns include a free classes if you
purchase all the requirements from Cottage Flair.

This month our dress making classes starts. Join us if
there is something that you really want to make but you
are not sure where to start. Our tutor is an amazing
dress maker/tutor. She will help you achieve what you
thought you couldn’t!
We have a new Block of the Month—My Menagerie
nearly finished! This is the cutest boys quilt and will be
available very soon! Will keep you posted! Check it out
further in the newsletter!
In recent weeks we have had lots and lots of yummy new
fabrics arrive in store—modern, brights, batiks, French
country and many more—come and see for yourself.
Starting in April is our 4th and 5th class of Pfaff Club for
new Pfaff customers who have purchased a machine
from us. The Pfaff quilt project is made over 15 months,
you will learn so much about your machine. Purchase a
machine from us in the next few weeks and I guarantee
the best support and a place in our new classes!

At the beginning of each sewing class there will be a free
demonstration on a sewing skill such as inserting zips,
piping, button holes to name just a few.
This will be a “watch” only demonstration, no notes and
we will advertise the next month’s demonstration.
You are then welcome to stay and participate in the
sewing class.

In this series of classes you will learn good basic patchworking skills. To start we will help
you choose the fabrics required and at the end of the 10 classes you will have a completely
finished quilt. This comprehensive beginners class will teach you how to use a rotary
cutter, draft patterns, make templates, straight and curved piecing, machine
appliqué and paper piecing. Stippling, free motion quilting & binding to finish your quilt.
