Big Ceramics showcases leading potters and ceramicists pushing
conceptual and physical boundaries. The work of these artists employs

and the reciprocity between this medium and the rest of contemporary
art. Curated by Craft CEO & Artistic Director Jane Scott, artists include:
Robert Baron, Kris Coad, David Ray, Andrei Davidoff, Janetta KerrGrant, Fiona Hiscock, Owen Rye, Vipoo Srivilasa, Mark Stoner, Jane
Sawyer and Jill Syme. Yarra Gallery. 10am–6pm 2–15/8

Transplantation, an exhibition of contemporary narrative,

own sense of place and individual cultural identity as a consequence
of their personal and family experiences of transplantation. Curated by
Professor Norman Cherry, artists include Jivan Astfalck, Anna Davern,

Vito Bila Unseamly vessels In Unseamly vessels Vito Bila
continues his exploration of the vessel, in particular the production of
non-functional metal vessels. In making his work Bila engages with a
dynamic and unconventional combination of processes and materials in
which he exploits the traditional and non-traditional, often within the one
piece. Craft.11am–6pm. Monday–Saturday 1–30/8
Bin Dixon Ward Grids Grids are everywhere, in the layout of our
cities and towns, in land divisions for agriculture and housing, floor
plans and building facades; the urban grid has endless translations.
As a fundamental unit of our endeavours to manage and control our
environment, we use the grid to protect us, to navigate our way and
to mark and control our boundaries. Bin Dixon-Ward’s exhibition is an
exploration of the grid as it appears in the urban form. Craft. 11am–
6pm. Monday–Saturday 1–30/8
