Microscopy is a mainstay in laboratory diagnosis. However it requires a high level of expertise to ensure reliability. The new powerful tools of biochemistry, immunology and molecular biology complement microscopic diagnosis. This 5-day intensive course on diagnostic parasitology aims to review, update and strengthen the knowledge and skills of health professionals involved in teaching, research and diagnostic work dealing with parasitic diseases.
