Road Closures for the Kids Floral Wagon Parade and Balboa Park Garden Party on Saturday, May 9, 2015 In general, the unloading, drop off, and parade is scheduled between 7 AM and 10:30 AM with Village Place, Natural History and South Carousel lots and parking impacted. The Fleet lot will only have approximately 20 to 30 spaces set aside for our use so park wherever you find a place. This is the Ruben H. Fleet lot, and is accessed off Park Blvd.  South Carousel and Natural History Lot: The lot will be CLOSED from the morning of May 9, 2015 until approximately 10:30 am. Once the set up in each lot is broken down, the parking lot will be reopened. South Carousel is the Parade drop off, check-in and staging, while the Natural History is being used during the parade for the various Youth Organization drop off. Village Place will be closed between 9 AM to 10:30 AM for the parade to file out of the South Carousel lot onto Village Place to El Prado.  Village Place: Unless you have an Unloading/Loading Permit (available in Studio 17), vehicles will not be allowed to access Village Place until 10:30 AM. Between 9 AM and 10:30 AM, Village Place will be CLOSED to ALL vehicle traffic except those dropping off at the Natural History Lot. After 10:30 AM, Village Place will open to all vehicle traffic all the way to Old Globe Way. El Prado to Old Globe Way will remain closed to approximately 4:00 PM. Access to Old Globe Way and behind the Botanical Building will be open to normal traffic after 10:30 AM.
