WELCOME TO HUNT TRANSPORTATION!
Thank you for your interest in driving for one of the nation’s
most successful flatbed and specialized companies. Hunt
Transportation, Inc., headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska,
began doing business in 1927, and became a subsidiary of
Crete Carrier Corporation in 1999.
BASE PAY SCALE
Hunt Transportation offers one of the most comprehensive pay
packages in the specialized and flatbed industry, and has also
been independently certified as a Top Paying Carrier by the
National Survey of Driver Wages.
Starting driver pay begins at $.45–$.48 depending on verifiable
years of experience. Drivers are also eligible for $.01 per mile
annual pay increase up to the maximum base pay of $.51 per
mile in the National Fleet. You can add an average of $.015 to
$.023 per mile to your mileage pay for over dimension and
other pay to get the true annual mileage rate of pay.
PAY FOR EXPERIENCE
HOME TIME
We believe it is important to get you home frequently. At
Hunt Transportation, you can expect to be away from home
for two and a half weeks, depending on where you reside.
You will earn one day off for every six days of driving. Nonvacation home time will be limited to four consecutive days.
However, as the result of a high level of productivity, your
Fleet Manager may approve additional time at home.
MODERN, WELL-MAINTAINED EQUIPMENT
Premium equipment has been the standard at Hunt
Transportation. Hunt takes a great deal of pride in our wellmaintained equipment, spec’d with the driver in mind.
Our policy of providing assigned tractors insures that our
professional drivers share in that pride. All tractors are
equipped with state-of-the-art satellite communications,
increasing your efficiency and improving your earning power.
Hunt transports a variety of commodities including agricultural
products, construction and industrial machinery, and building
materials, on flatbeds, step deck and RGN trailers.
If you have one or more years of flatbed experience, which
we are able to verify, you may qualify to start in our National
Fleet at our experienced driver pay rate.
STOP, TARP, OVER-DIMENSIONAL PAY
If the load requires a tarp the driver will receive a $50 tarp fee
plus $20 for any additional stops requiring re-tarping.
