Well….welcome to CONATUS 2K15 a technical cum cultural fest, where we believe that each and every
student is a star convergent at GIMT. You can be rest assured that it is going to be dazzling & luminous
two days, from 27-28 April, 2015.
You will be engrossed with fascinating & thought-provoking 26 events over these two days. Many
informal events have been introduced this time to provide you more fun and interactivity.
All these events are in addition to the plethora of competitions viz. tech. & non-tech that we have for
you to participate in and win extravagant prizes.
This April is marching your way steadily. So let’s get started...

The Technical Paper Presentation Contest
Think... Express... Let the Innovation happens.
Share your intellect and let the world be a yet better place.
“Presenting an idea is more important than having it itself”
Got an idea? Here’s your opportunity to stage your innovation. Put your mind in a paper, wrap
it up and present it to the judges.
It is meant for people who dare to think out of the box and to say that the world’s flat!

Gather knowledge, re-engineer the data, and salt it with your innovation.
The rules for the paper presentations are:
1. Paper should be neatly typed in at least 1.5 spacing on a single side of A4 paper and should
not exceed 4 pages all inclusive (Neatly typed in MSWord, 12Pt. New Times Roman).
2. Total time will be 10 minutes, which will be divided into 7 minutes for presentation
followed by 1 min of conclusion and 2 minutes of questioning.
3.
Full and final paper in hard and soft copy must be submitted up to 24th April, 2015. Two
hard copies of the paper are required during presentation.
4.
Maximum of two authors per paper are allowed.

WEB HUNT

It is a team event comprising two members per team.
It is a hunt in which one answer is the clue for the next question’s answer.
Time limit: 1 hour

VOC-EXPRESS

Whose minute is it anyway?
Ever been called a motor mouth? Do you talk so much that leave the people around you
gasping? Ok, so far so good. Now can you do that without hesitation, repetition or deviation?
Focus your talent and push your limits of spontaneity, where it will do the most good. Call it
Voc- Express already.
What do we you need to do?
1. Each participant will get max. 2 min. for speaking.
2. Topics will be given by event-in charge.
3. No restriction on the content of your speech, except that obscenities will be penalized

SPELLATHON
(SPELL THE WORDS)

Thirty words will be given .
Atleast 10 words should be spelled correct.
Person with maximum correct spelled words will be the winner
30 seconds will be given to spell one word.
Duration is 45 minutes.

WAR OR WORDS
(DEBATE)
Event Incharges: Ankur Garg, Gaurav Kochar
What do we you need to do?
It is a team event comprising two members per team.
The topic for debate would be given two hours before the event.
One speaker has to speak for the motion and one against the motion.
The total time would be 6 minutes: 2 minutes for the motion, 2 minutes against and 2 minute for
rebuttle session.

BUG BASH

Do you have the wits and skills to survive the nerve-wracking, brainstorming rounds of coding
and debugging?
For those who don’t know what bug bash is?

Bugs are bugs- flaws here and there and everywhere that are left behind by the foolish
programmers like the one who has made the website.
The event comprises of two rounds:

Preliminary Round – A written test consisting of multiple-choice questions.
o
Finals.
o
The participants will be given a programming task and has to find error.
o
`Judges’ decision will be final.
o
Final result will be based on the marks scored in the last round only.
o
First round is only a screening round for short listing the contestants.

BLIND CODING

This events comprises of writing the given C program with computer screen turned off.
This is an individual event.
The time allotted depends on the program given.

This events comprises of decorating the handmade cards with the help of accessories.
What do we you need to do?
