1. Objective
The objective is a quick and easy creation of templates and reusability of existing entities.
Easy copying of objects from standard or custom entities is allowed in Microsoft Dynamics CRM at a
click of a button. If required, linked objects can also be copied from entities.

3. Example
Invoices with invoice items are to be created as templates.
Using CopyObjects, you can generate a new invoices from a template and customize it as required
(e.g. change customer or add additional invoice items) at the click of a button.
Likewise, you can now quickly and easily create recurring invoices such as monthly invoices without
errors.

4. Installation
Please note that the installation of an AddOn requires the appropriate administration
rights.
You can find a general installation instruction online at http://CRMBricks.com, under the
navigation item "A-Z / Installation".

5. Configuration
The following basic settings have to be checked:
General
Check whether the AddOn was registered correctly and whether a valid license is available.

Settings
The AddOn is configured via the CopyObjects_Config entity.

The configuration is performed exclusively using XML. The Basic Installation of the
AddOn includes a sample XML for the entities "Invoice" and "Contact".

The license overview provides the information on the following:

In addition, it is possible to check for any newly available licenses, which will be issued after each
extension of the Software Assurance validity period or, if required, to import licenses offline.

Support
The Support page displays not only error messages that are related to the AddOn but also
reproduces debugging activities.
Normally "Error" should always be stored in the log settings.

Copy Objects
The AddOn Copy Objects copies the objects of standard or custom entities in Microsoft Dynamics
CRM at a click of a button with the option of including linked objects.





Can be used for standard and custom entities
Linked objects can also be copied
New templates can be created and reused
Define which attributes are to be copied even at the field level.
If required, copied objects can open automatically for quicker processing.
