TOWN OF CROMWELL 41 West Street Cromwell, CT 06416 April 24, 2015 Dear Resident: The Town of Cromwell will be embarking on road improvements on Black Haw Drive, from Washington Road heading west to the bend just past #17. The proposed construction consists of reclaiming existing asphalt and applying new hot mix asphalt and replacing asphalt curbing. Some driveway aprons may be replaced as required. This project will be part of a Town wide pavement restoration project on several other streets to be completed this summer. Residents will need to water areas where grass seed is applied to re-establish grass. Town crews will begin removing curbing as weather permits prior to road reconstruction. Residents are reminded that the Town is not responsible for damage to objects located within the Town Right-of-Way such as underground dog fences, irrigation systems, etc. We would also like to remind residents of the Town of Cromwell mailbox location policy, which can be found at www.cromwellct.com located in the Engineering Department page. It is the Town's policy to keep persons informed and involved when such projects are undertaken. It is important that the community share its concerns with us to assist in the project's development. Anyone interested in obtaining further information or providing input may do so by contacting the Public Works Department at 860-632-3420. Very truly yours, Jon Harriman, P.E.
