It’s nice to have the weather starting to warm up a bit and see the snow piles

Crop N Time Scrapbook Events Newsletter Page 2 April 2015 ~ Volume 74 Message from the Owner:
Finally…
…. the long winter seems to be coming to an end! I think we’ve all felt the stress of this winter I know I have. For my house that stress has included massive water damage due to ice dams on the roof. We have five areas of the house that were damaged. It’s been a very trying month dealing with the drying equipment, demolition, and now construction. How am I dealing with the stress? Well, first of all, I am looking at this as a way to do some much needed updating of the house and paying very little out of pocket thanks to good insurance. Secondly, I’ve pulled out my camera (which was stashed away and not used nearly enough lately) and am taking pictures every step of the way. Hey… If you can’t beat them… SCRAPBOOK IT! It’s been a while since I’ve really documented anything. What better time to start than to scrap every step of our experience with before, during, and after pictures? So, friends, remember this: No matter what life throws at you, there is an opportunity to use your craft in there somewhere! Rene

I love the idea that we can make something super simple, but still super pretty, with just a
few basic supplies. I will never tire of flowers. Here is a paper flower that anyone can
create, no matter how much experience you have.
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner
SUPPLY STASH: Just a few basics
MAKE TIME: 10 Minutes
WAIT TIME: None
SPECIAL SKILLS: None
STEPS:
{1} Punch a scallop circle from cardstock
{2} Cut out wedges from every other scallop as
shown
{3} The finished shape will look like this…
{4} Repeat steps 1 & 2 to create a second petal
layer and adhere one atop the other.
{5} Punch out or cut a small circle for the center.
**Use a bone folder to curl the petals
**Try this technique
and show us at the
next crop to earn
yourself some extra
raffles tickets!***

AprilChallenge:BirthdayChallenge
April is my birthday month, and I like to celebrate! If you are anything like me, you
probably have lots of photos of cake and presents and parties.
Challenge: Create a birthday layout of a different sort. Don’t focus on the cake, presents
and parties. Instead tell the story of the little ways you celebrate, remember the story of a
birth, make a list of traits of the birthday person right now. Just start with a birthday
and go where your imagination takes you!
Go for it, use a page
map from this
newsletter and double
up!
I can’t wait to see
what you create!

Crop N Time Scrapbook Events Newsletter Page 5 April 2015 ~ Volume 74 Layout/Sketch ideas
Do you ever find yourself in a design slump? It’s so easy to use the same layouts over and over as they seem to fit
your pictures. Why not make your pictures fit a new layout? Here are some ideas for new layout ideas that can
help bring some life back into your albums!!
If you complete these layouts before or during our next crop event and show us, you will earn raffle tickets for
each new layout to do! Isn’t that just fabulous? Don’t forget to bring those layouts you complete before the crop
with you to get the credit for them as well. They could just win you a fantastic prize from one of our preferred
vendors or even that Grand prize basket at the next crop!
Even if you don’t use this size album, you can always scraplift ideas that will work for your own project!
We love seeing how each one of you interprets these sketch ideas into your own pages!
Happy Creating 
