NE State 4-H Camp 5K Camp Style Run

Come for an enjoyable, 5K run through the scenic Sandhills of Nebraska, Camp Style. Enjoy the beautiful scenery of the
Nebraska National Forest as you start with a trip down the Zip line, over the hills and through the valleys. This camp run
will test you to see if you can cover the hills and trails like the campers do.

Run starts – Water will be offered throughout the run.

Awards given out down in the NE National Forest Park
Refreshments offered – Run includes a trip down the 400 ft. zip line.
12:00 pm
Optional lunch and a trip across the high wires
General Information
The run will start at the Nebraska State 4-H Camp. The Camp is located in the Nebraska National Forest in Halsey, NE. Location of the Forest is 1
½ miles west of Halsey and 12 miles east of Thedford, NE on Hwy 2. Signs will be put out at the entrance of the Forest. The designated area for
parking will be marked as you arrive. Nebraska State 4-H Camp is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
Event Information
Course: Runners will register at the main lodge. Runners will run the trail from the Scott Lookout Tower
down to the park at the NE National Forest Park. Runners will have hills, grassy and sandy terrain to cover.
Trails will be marked and water will be offered throughout the run.
Run includes a ride down the 400 ft zip line after race.
Placement medals and prizes will be given out to the first three runners.
All runners will be receive finishing medal.
Registration will be in the main dining room in the Epply Lodge starting at 8:00 am. Everyone will receive a T-shirt and course map.
Help and Refreshments will be available along course. Participants seventeen and under will need a parent or guardian signature.
After the awards are handed the camp will be offering an optional lunch and a trip across the high wires at 1pm.
Proceeds will provide camperships to aid campers’ with registration fees so they can come and enjoy a summer of making memories.
