Scheme and Syllabus of M.Phil. Entrance Test (2015-16)

Scheme of Test:
Scheme and Syllabus of the Entrance Test are based on the UGC NET
syllabus. There will be two question papers. Paper-I and Paper-II (Part-A and
B). paper-I will have 50 Objective Type Questions (Multiple Choice, Matching
Type, True/ False, Assertion- Reasoning Type) carrying 100 marks.
Maximum time allowed for Paper-I will be 1 hour (11:00 to 12:00). There will
be No Negative Marking for Paper-I. Paper-II will have two parts- A and B;
Paper-II (A) will have 10 short essay type questions with internal choice,
carrying 8 marks each (i.e. 10 questions with OR part from 10 units; Total
marks will be 80). Paper-II (B) will be compulsory and there will be one
question from each of the electives. The candidate will attempt only one
question carrying 20 marks. Total marks of the Paper-II will be 100.
Maximum time allowed for Paper-II will be 2 hours (2:00 to 4:00 p.m.).
