wear) a hard hat and closed toe shoes. Please follow all safety instructions
from Harris Construction.

Join CSI Fresno at 5:30 pm on Tuesday, May 19th at Bullard High School for a
technical tour of their two story classroom building under construction. It is
the first new structure being built as part of Fresno Unified School District’s
$35 million Bullard High School Master Plan Improvements project designed
by Arthur Dyson of DSJ Architects and being constructed by Harris Construction. This will be a look at the building in the raw, with the steel structure,
metal framing and utility infrastructure fully exposed for a good look at the
building’s inner workings. We hope to have a return tour in the fall to see the
completed building.
You may park in the North parking lot, south of Browning. Sign-in and dinner
will begin at 5:30 pm in the Staff Lounge, just to the east of the North Gym
and Harris Construction trailers. An overview of the project will be presented
by Bob Siegrist with DSJ Architects and groups will head out at about 6:15 pm
to tour the classroom building. Representatives from DSJ Architects and several of the consulting engineers will be available to answer questions. Harris
Construction Project management staff including Mike Marsh and Steve
Hamett will be our tour guides. Mitch Gaasch, Project Manager with Fresno
Unified will be available to discuss the owner’s perspective. We hope you will
join CSI Fresno for this close up look at a building in the early stages of construction—a great opportunity to see Architecture in the Raw.
