Message from the CEO
As I write this I am looking out
at a bright sunshiny day, with a
temperature of 9 degrees! I love
the sunshine, but I am ready for
the warmth of spring. The staff
and I here at the credit union love
spring because it brings out the
smiles in everyone. I know the
trip to the credit union is sometimes not as “exciting” as
other things we do, but we want you to feel like we are
your springtime credit union. New possibilities every time
you walk in. A chance for a new car or used car, that first
checking account and debit card, your new saving account
that is going to help you go on that cruise, or trip. The
IRA you open up to start making a plan to retire someday,
or even just that helpful line of credit or credit card to
help you with the everyday expenses we all have. Let our
staff be your springtime guide to the new growth of your
financial future. They are all here to do one thing serve
you, and help you get the best possible products and
services from your member owned cooperative.
So don’t hesitate to ask us for help, or even bring in
your friend who needs some help. We always welcome
your friends and family to expand our family here at the
credit union. Help us help all your friends and family with
their finances. I hope to see all of you at the credit union,
or better yet on the golf course this spring! Enjoy the
sunshine and let’s hope the temperatures are higher than
9 degrees when you are reading this!

Net Price College Calculators
www.usnews.com/education/best-colleges/features/net-pricecalculator
The US News and World Report compiled a list
of calculators from about 300 of the top National
Universities and National Liberal Arts Colleges. Although
not every college is included, it’s a great start to
understanding the true cost of higher education.

If you have saved enough money for college, congrats on a job well done. If you have not we have a new loan
product for you. The Credit Union Student Choice Program was created with one goal in mind - helping you finance
a higher education without a higher price tag.
Our private student loan solution:
• Helps fill the funding gap that exists after lower-cost
sources of aid have been exhausted.
• Offers zero origination fees and lower rates than many other lenders.
• Allows for fully deferred payment while you’re in school (optional).
• Is structured as a Line-of-Credit (LOC), which you can then use over
multiple years. The benefit is that with just one application you can qualify
for a LOC that will cover the remainder of your undergraduate career (up
to $75,000)*. Each year, you simply determine how much of the eligible LOC
amount you’ll need - without having to complete an entirely new application!
• Offers flexible repayment options resulting in
lower initial payments after graduation.
• Gives you the chance to reduce your interest rate by 0.25%
during full repayment when you enroll in automatic payment.
• Establishes a relationship with a financial institution you can trust as your loan will be granted and held by your not-for-profit credit union.

Jackson Community FCU is proud to offer yet another free movie night on May 18th at the historic
Michigan Theater. Free tickets are available at the credit union and at your child’s elementary school.
On May 18th we will present Charlotte’s Web. Wilbur the pig is scared of the end of the season,
because he knows that come that time, he will end up on the dinner table. He hatches a plan with
Charlotte, a spider that lives in his pen, to ensure that this will never happen.
Be sure to come out early and play the carnival games, get a free balloon tied by our experts in
shapes you will never imagine, and enter for the drawing for free gifts at the end of the movie!
Games start at 6pm and the movie starts at 7pm.
