OVERVIEW
The topic of marihuana* for medical purposes arises more and more
often in our interactions with patients. Gaps in our knowledge in this
area are concerning, and pressure is intense to take a stand one way or
another. Health Canada asks us to treat marihuana as much as possible
like any other medication -- so how do we do that? This half-day
workshop will address questions of pharmacology, clinical indications,
risks, and monitoring, so that we can have informed discussions with
our patients.

PARKING
Visitor parking is recommended in Lot 10 and Lot 11 for
$7 per day or MacEwan Hall parkade for $24 per day.
Carpoolers with 3 or more in their vehicle are eligible for
half-price parking in the Art Parkade and Lots 10, 11 and

Dress is business casual. Sweaters or items of clothing
that can be layered are recommended since
temperature in the venue may fluctuate.

COURSE CANCELLATION POLICY
The Office of Continuing Medical Education and
Professional Development reserves the right to cancel the
course if there are insufficient registrations.
REFUND POLICY
A registration refund will be made upon written request on
or prior to April 2, 2015. However $50 will be retained for
administrative costs. No refund will be made for
cancellation after April 2, 2015. NOTE: Refunds are
processed only on the return of original receipt. All receipts
must be returned within 30 days after program date.
REIMBURSEMENT OF REGISTRATION FEES
In general, each course offers a light breakfast, nutrition
break(s) and lunch. We are unable to accommodate
special dietary restrictions (for example, gluten free,
peanut allergies).
Physicians may be eligible for reimbursement of
registration fees and expenses to attend CME courses from
a fund administered by the Alberta Medical Association.
