customs clearance agents and others desirous of using the ASYCUDA World automated system.
Any false or incorrect information will result in the application being rejected and, if appropriate, action being taken in
accordance with the customs laws.

Companies requiring access to the ASYCUDA World system must provide the names of all individuals
who are authorised to conduct Customs business on its behalf. The following information must be
provided for each person requiring access to the ASYCUDA World system. All fields are mandatory.

PART 3 - CONDITIONS
All applicants should note that by submitting/signing this form, they agree to comply with the
conditions listed below. Failure to comply with the conditions could result in the registration being
cancelled and access to the ASYCUDA World system being denied.
It should also be acknowledged that any deliberate or fraudulent activity associated with the
registration and/or use of the system will be dealt with in accordance with the Customs legislation
currently in use.
The following conditions must be complied with by all users of the ASYCUDA World system:
User name and Password
A person who is registered as a user of the ASYCUDA World system will be allocated a unique user
name and password which must only be used for the purposes of transmitting information to or
receiving information from the Customs automated system.
If information is transmitted to the ASYCUDA World system by a registered user using a unique user
name and password, the transmission of that information is, in the absence of proof to the contrary,
sufficient evidence that the registered user to whom the unique user name and password has been
issued, has transmitted that information.
The registered user must:

Comply with all security requirements associated with the allocated user-names and
passwords

Keep secure and not disclose to another person the user name and password that has been
allocated to you

Only use the user name and password to access the data in the system that is available to
the registered user

Only input data to the ASYCUDA World system that pertains to the registered users
transactions

Not copy or distribute the given access information to any other persons, companies or
other parties
Registration
The Comptroller of Customs and Excise may at any time by written notice, cancel the registration of
a registered user if the Comptroller he/she is satisfied that a user has:

Failed to comply with a condition of registration imposed by the Comptroller; or

Failed to comply with or acted in contravention of any conditions imposed by the
Comptroller, or

Been convicted of an offence under the Customs legislation relating to improper access to or
interference with the ASYCUDA World system; or been convicted of any other offence under
this Customs and Excise Act, or

Made entries which are materially incorrect, or

Is considered by the Comptroller of Customs and Excise not to be a proper person to hold a
registration.
Retention of Records
Every person concerned with the importation, exportation or carriage coastwise of any goods, or the
carriage, loading, landing or unloading of any goods shall keep all documents, including all computer
records, relating to those goods for a period of five years from the date of import, export or the
carriage coastwise of those goods.
Any person mentioned above, who alters or tampers with any of the documents or computer
records referred to in that paragraph for the purposes of evading any of the provisions of the
Customs legislation, shall be guilty of an offence.
Customs Clearance Agents
It is the responsibility of Customs Clearance Agents (Brokers) to:

Use the ASYCUDA World automated system purely for transacting business for its clients in
the preparation and submission of import/export declarations and cargo manifests in
compliance with the Customs Act (Cap.121) and all other related laws
Companies
It is the responsibility of Senior Company officials:

To ensure that all individuals authorized to conduct customs business on behalf of the entity
are fully compliant with the conditions outlined above and the provisions of the Customs
Act (CAP 121) and associated legislation

To notify Customs within 24 hours of the following change of circumstances:

The company terminates the service of an individual named on the Application Form
The name and address of the company and/or the individual changes
An individual ceases to conduct business on behalf of the company
The individual is convicted of any offence punishable under the Customs legislation

PART 4 – APPLICATION
All fully completed application forms must be submitted to the Comptroller of Customs and Excise,
Customs Headquarters, P.O. Box G16, Point Cruz, Honiara, Solomon Islands.
The following documents must be submitted by all applicants in support of their request for
registration:
1. Copy of TIN Certificate
2. Copy of Business Registration Certificate
3. Passport size photo
4. Signature sample
In addition, the following documents must be submitted, if applicable:
1. Copy of Customs Clearance Agents (Broker) License
2. A letter from the Head of a Company authorising a nominated employee to
process and sign Customs declarations on behalf of the organization.
3. Copy of Goods Tax (GT) certificate (if applicable)
Please note it will take a minimum of five working days for your application to be approved,
evaluated and tested
