Ministry of Finance Revenue Department PUBLIC NOTICE The Business Licensing Unit in the Revenue Department is undertaking an exercise to update its database to reflect all current license holders. The Unit is therefore appealing to all businesses operating within the TCI to regulate their status and ensure that they are in good standing in relation to the payment of all Business License fees. To facilitate this process, a register of all persons or businesses that need to contact the Revenue Department to verify their status has been placed at the following locations throughout the Turks & Caicos Islands: Grand Turk: Scotia Bank CIBC First Caribbean Int. Bank TCIG Post Office TCIG Treasury TCIG Revenue Department South Caicos: District Commissioner’s Office TCIG Sub-Treasury Providenciales: Scotia Bank(s) CIBC First Caribbean Int. Bank(s) TCIG Post Office TCIG Sub-Treasury TCIG Revenue Department North Caicos: District Com. Officer TCIG Sub-Treasury Salt Cay: District Com. Officer Businesses and persons appearing on the register are required to contact the Revenue Department on or before July1st 2014. Please be reminded that operators of businesses that have ceased operations are required under section 8 & 9 of the Business Licensing Ordinance to give notice of changes in the particulars of the business, including the date the business ceased to operate. There are penalties for failing to adhere to these requirements which have been expressly provided in writing to all Licensees. This is the final appeal; Failure to comply will result in legal proceedings against all businesses that are operating without a valid business license.
