EXPOSITORY PREACHING
The faithful exposition of the Word of God powerfully transforms lives. Expository preaching has an enduring
legacy in the history of the church. Some ministers preach topically or textually; that is, using one text or
verse and then building a sermon around the theme of the verse.
Introducing a verse-by-verse, chapter-by- chapter, consecutive exposition of the Scriptures demonstrates that
the Old Testament and New Testament teaching are not isolated from one another, but rather are essential to
the proper understanding of the Bible.
The historical - grammar of Scripture, the various types, dispensations, and prophecies of Scripture are
recognized authorities on the original languages of the Scriptures, for accurate understanding of the history
and culture.
Expository preaching puts the supreme emphasis on the Word of God. It magnifies the Word of God, and
gives it the place of supreme authority...this type of preaching serves the far better purpose of edifying the
people of God as the Scriptures are applied to their everyday lives.
By using this method of preaching, little known truths will be given their rightful place, and it will be
demonstrated that all Scripture is essential to furnish the man of God and a well-placed emphasis on
expository preaching is great for spiritual renewal.

expositionally, faithfully making the truth of God known to a new generation.

Shiloh Church provides lounge areas with water, snacks and online access. The two
stations provide a great opportunity for you to sponsor this with your organization’s

lounge areas for one price, as well as an exhibit space with the other vendors.

VIDEO
All videos should be 16:9 aspect ratio, ideally 1280x720 or greater resolution, and video
codec needs to be Quicktime compatible and NOT Apple ProRes. (Preferred codecs are
Photo JPEG or Animation at 75% quality.) Failure to do so will relieve us of the
responsibility of showing the video or incur a charge to properly prepare the content.
If bringing video content with you to the conference, it must be “ready to roll.”
