The AAVMC is celebrating its 50th anniversary of providing support to academic veterinary medicine, which plays such a critical role in the health of animals, people and the environment in which we live. Read more here. Dr. Brenda Love, former employee at the Oklahoma Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory, passed away on June 3, 2015. An inurnment service will be held on Friday, June 12, at 11 a.m. beginning in the Turrentine, Jackson, Morrow Funeral Home located at 2525 Central Expressway North in Allen, Texas, and ending at the Ridgeview Memorial Park also located in Allen. Bourbon Virus The Bourbon virus is named after Bourbon County Kansas where it was first identified in a human in the U.S. in 2014.
