These riders and their horses were all worthy winners and the garlands looked beautiful
on all your horses! I must say a very big thank you to Pauline Guinness, Jacky Ynema
for helping me get this show on the road and also to Bernie Westwood, as she was
thrown in the deep end with gear checking and Melissa Winters being last minute ring in

Committee Corner
We had a very good meeting on March 18th and the club is moving forward on a number
of fronts.
Some show jumping equipment has been purchased by the club, picked up and “refreshed”
by Bernie, Jen and Jenna.
The Micro sound system has been repaired and the frequency updated. In future any damage to the system, headset, and wiring will be invoiced to the user/clinician. The club has
covered the costs of repairs by various users in the past and this will no longer be the case.
Remember, when booking the grounds, any equipment such as the sound system needs to
be booked at the same time.
The Winter Dressage Show has started to take shape. The dates have been changed to Aug
1st and 2nd, due to a number of factors. The show is looking to be bigger and better than
ever, more rings, more tests ridden, more freestyles, basically more of everything dressage! Keep your eye out as the event develops and get your entries in when they open as
its will be a very good show.......
And lastly, the Cancer Council fundraiser is set for April 29th. I am still accepting ideas to
make the day better than ever, sponsors can still come on board and please contact either
myself or Nola Rogers ([email protected]). Nola is assisting with sponsors this
year! I shall endeavour to get the forms completed very soon and up on the website.
Thanks for your patience.

Sue Buckley-Henty Riding Club

A Very Important Busy Bee
On Saturday 9th May a Busy Bee will be held to remove the yards nearest to the clubrooms
so that construction can commence on Monday 11th May on a set of 20 new yards with
gates.
The new yards will provide a safer, more secure area for your horse or pony.
These yards are costing approximately $20,000 to construct. Henty applied for a grant and
received $5000 from the Shire of Dardanup. The Dardanup Equestrian Centre is
contributing $5000.
Henty asks for your help on the day to remove the yards and clear the area ready for construction
