Edel Putter Fitting Shaft Weight

Edel Putter Fitting
The Edel putter fitting system has multiple interchangeable parts so that each
part contributes to your proper aim, distance control, comfort and eye appeal.
Finding the correct putter is a process.
Much like choosing the correct tool you
need for any job, it is important to look
at all the variables before making a
decision.
Head Shape
There are currently 6 head shapes. Head
shape influences aim. Mallet styles tend
to cause your aim to be to the right and
thin blade styles tend to make you aim
farther left. We use a laser to show
where you aim with each head shape.
This is a starting point and is also influenced by your personal preference – by
what looks right to you.
Putter Loft
Each head has 5 interchangeable faces
with lofts from 1 to 5 degrees. The angle
your ball starts from the face of your
putter determines how soon and how
well it will get rolling smoothly.
Heavier greens require more loft. In
addition, if your putting style has your
hands ahead of the putter head at
impact, that effectively reduces the loft
of your putter. It increases the amount of
loft your putter must have.
Edel putters have optional changeable
faces with various lofts.
Interchangeable Hosels
There are over 40 hosels with offsets
ranging from none (a straight hosel) to
almost an inch. There are multiple lies
from 4 degrees flat to 4 degrees upright
so your putter is flat on the ground at
address and you stroke the ball in the
way that is most comfortable to you.
Offset also influences direction. Lie is
how vertical the shaft is when the putter
lies flat on the green.
Head Weight
The weight of a putter affects the speed
of your stroke. The heavier the putter
head, the slower your stroke will be.
The speed of the head at impact determines the length of your putt. Faster
greens require a heavier putter so you
hit the ball easier. Slower greens require
a lighter putter for a fast stroke.
If you play on many types of greens,
Edel has optional changeable weights in
the sole of the putter so you can change
the putter weight to suit the greens you
are playing (before you tee off).
Shaft Weight
Shaft weight affects balance and feel of
your putter. Weights placed inside the
shaft at various points or at the grip end
affect hand action and greatly improves
distance control (lag putting).
Shaft Flex
Another factor affecting feel and distance control is the flex of the putter
shaft. Edel offers several different shafts
to enhance feel.
Angle of Your Stroke
When your move your putter into the
ball, it can be moving level to the
ground, on an upward angle, or hit the
ball with a downward motion. Each of
those affects characteristics your putter
should have. We fit your natural stroke.

Best Putters (cont'd.)
Putters are a unique club in your bag.
Putting technique is different from any
other club. There is room for creativity
& personality when you putt.
Certain principles still apply to maximizing your putting consistency and
accuracy. We test your equipment, aim
and stroke mechanics to help you make
your putting dependable and save you
strokes.
Extensive studies have determined the
way you aim a putter is as individual as
you are. Everybody processes the way
they see the putter aim differently. In the
golf industry's attempt to create a
solution for putter sales, they have mass
produced putters that are sold off the
rack and not properly fit to the way you
see aim.
No other club in your bag is used as
many times in a round as your putter. It
is where you can save the most shots.
Edel Golf has created a proprietary fitting system for putters much like it has
for wedges, to ensure you are playing
with a putter that aims the way you see
as well as moving the ball where you
want it to go with good distance control
as well as direction.
Why struggle to adjust your stroke to
your putter when you can have a putter
that fits you?
