WRITE A TREE HAIKU
Haiku is a Japanese form of poetry that consists of three lines: the first line
has five syllables, the second line has seven and the third line has five again.
The third line often contains a surprising element.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• Paper (or your Nature Journal)
• Something to write with
Tip: You might even want to go outside and
visit your favorite tree for inspiration
INSTRUCTIONS:
Using the haiku format, visit or think about trees and create an inspiring piece of poet-tree!
