Japanese poetry.
*Haiku poems consist of 3 lines.
* The first and last lines of a Haiku
have 5 syllables and the middle line
has 7 syllables.
*The lines rarely rhyme.
*About a moment in daily life.
*Describes particular things, often two contrasting
things.
*Records a moment of enlightenment or sudden
discovery about life.
*Usually about a season of the year. Often contains a
season word like frog for summer or willow for spring.
