STEM Academy: Local Senior Scholarships
All applications are due to the counseling department on March 27, 2015 unless
otherwise noted in the scholarship descriptions below. Any questions please

Amina C. Valocchi Book Scholarship: Students must be students of DASD for four years earning
a GPA of a 3.5 or higher and participate in at least two extra-curricular activities and participate
in community service.
Beaver Creek HSA Book Scholarship: The scholarship will be awarded to a student who
attended BCES for at least (3) years, attend a post-secondary institution, demonstrate good
citizenship and community involvement.
Bradford Heights H S A Book Scholarship: The Scholarship will be awarded to a student to a
student who attended BH for at least (1) year, attend a post-secondary institution, demonstrate
good citizenship and community involvement.
Brandywine Wallace H.S.A Book Scholarship: The Scholarship will be awarded to a student to a
student who attended BWES for at least (4) years, attend a post-secondary institution,
demonstrate good citizenship and community involvement and has maintained a B average.
Cameron Evans Memorial Foundation : In memory of Cameron Evans, to be awarded to a
STEM student athlete who has a passion for technology.
Cecil E Tate Scholarship Award: The scholarship will be awarded to students who are currently
enrolled in the special education program in the Downingtown Area School District and are
planning on pursuing post-secondary education upon completion of high school. Application
deadline is March 20th.
Charles E Swope Scholarship: The scholarship will be awarded to a student in Chester County
who has an interest in pursuing a career in a law related field. Application deadline: April 10th.
Chester County School Nurses Scholarship: Scholarships will be awarded to Chester County
high school seniors who are planning to enter a BSN or AD nursing program upon graduation
from high school. Students must complete an application, essay and letters of
recommendation. Application must be postmarked by March 27th.

Delaware Valley Association of School Business Officials (DVASBO): The scholarship will be
awarded to a student who has an interest in business and plans on pursuing post-secondary
education. Application Deadline: March 31st.
Delta Kappa Gamma: The Maryann Tustin and Fran Ashe Scholarship: Scholarship will be
awarded to a female student planning to major in education at a 4 year college or university.
Students must identify home school (East or West) on application.
Downingtown Area High School Alumni Association, Alumni Award: Students applying for this
award must have attended the STEM Academy for three years.
Downingtown Area Education Association Scholarship Award: Application requirements will
be available via Naviance.
Downingtown HS Music Parents Scholarship: The scholarship will be awarded to a student
who has participated in the music program while at the STEM Academy and is planning on
pursuing higher education. Students do not have to major in music at the college level to apply
for this award. Students are responsible to mail application per scholarship requirement.
Downingtown Middle School Home and School Association Scholarship Fund: The scholarship
will be awarded to a student who attended DMS for at least (2) years, attend a post-secondary
institution, demonstrate good citizenship and community involvement.
Eagle-Glenmoore Lions Club: Application requirements will be available on Naviance.
East Ward Elementary School HSA Book Scholarship: The scholarship will be awarded to a
student who attended East Ward ES for a minimum of three years, minimum GPA of a 2.75 and
enroll in post-secondary education.

Eastern PA Information Technology Data Manager's Scholarship Program (EPAITDM):
The scholarship is available to students who are planning on pursuing a career in the field of
information technology or computer science. Application deadline: March 15th
Girls Tennis Scholarship in Memory of Jane Gerlach Booge: This scholarship will be awarded to
a female student who has played for a minimum of one year on the Downingtown East or West
Tennis Team and must plan on pursuing post-secondary education upon completion of high
school.
Gravic Scholarship: The scholarship is available for students who are interested in pursuing a
career in math, computer science or related field. Students will complete two short essays.
Jim Rupert Memorial Track Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a student who has
participated in the track and field program at Downingtown EAST High school for the three
years and will be attending post-secondary education upon completion of high school.
Krapf Bus Companies Educational Scholarship: The scholarships will be awarded to students
who have a GPA of 3.0 or higher, demonstrated good citizenship and leadership and must be
enrolled as a student for three years and accepted to a post-secondary institution.
Lionville Elementary Home and School Association: The scholarship will be awarded to a
student who attended LES for at least 4th and 5th grade and is pursuing higher education.
Lionville Middle School Home and School Association: The scholarship will be awarded to a
student who attended LMS, minimum of a 2.75 GPA while at the STEM Academy and plan to
attend post-secondary education.
Pickering Valley School Association Book Scholarship: The scholarship will be awarded to a
student who attended Pickering Valley ES and successfully identified a memorable experience
at Pickering Valley.

Shamona Creek Home and School Association Book Scholarship: The Scholarship will be
awarded to a D East/West or STEM student who attended Shamona Creek Elementary. Student
must complete application and essay.
STEM Academy HSA Scholarship Award: This scholarship is open to students of the STEM
Academy and information will be made available on Naviance.
St. Anthony’s Women’s Auxiliary Scholarship Award: The scholarship is open only to a student
who is a relative of a member of the St. Anthony’s Women’s Auxiliary or St. Anthony’s Lodge.
The student must have maintained a minimum GPA of a 2.5, desire to seek post-secondary
education, demonstrated good citizenship and school and community involvement.
Team CMMD Foundation: Karen Baker Scholarship: This scholarship will be awarded to a
Downingtown high school student who has been directly impacted by cancer-either by illness of
an applying student or immediate family member. Student must have a 3.0 GPA and attend a
four year accredited college.
Uwchlan Hills Elementary Home and School Association: Scholarship awarded who attended
Uwchlan Hills for a minimum of 4 years, minimum GPA of 2.75, must be planning to attend
post-secondary education.
West Bradford Youth Athletics Scholar Athlete Award: Scholarship awarded to a participant in
WBYA team athletics. The student must have a minimum of a 3.0 GPA and will be pursuing a
degree in post- secondary education.
Women’s Club of Downingtown: Scholarship awarded to a STEM Academy senior student who
will pursue post high school education and have shown academic ability, financial need and
involvement in school and community.
