Daxko Operations Training Facilities

Daxko Operations Training Facilities System training is most effective when it is delivered in an environment that promotes learning. Read these guidelines before securing a computer lab facility for Daxko Operations training.
Location is key!

•
Choose a computer lab facility in a location that is easily accessible by all staff. When selecting the location, consider the drive time and general proximity for staff that may work or live in outlying areas. If your association does not have a computer lab facility or staff size warrants the use of multiple labs, contact local libraries, community centers, colleges or schools for possible use. If you are unable to secure a location, consider creating a computer lab using a conference room and rented equipment. Many local computer hardware companies offer short-‐term rental options for laptops and other equipment. It is critical that each participant has their own internet-‐connected computer. Ideally, each participant would also have a mouse. This directly impacts the success of each training session! Each participant should be able to complete hands on activities during the sessions. Sessions are open to a maximum of 15 participants. •
•
To effectively lead a training session and address all participants’ questions, live training sessions are limited to 15 participants. This allows the trainer to provide group instruction and individual help to participants. If you have a large number of trainees and a facility that can accommodate more than 15 users, please mention that to your Daxko Trainer. A reliable Internet connection is a necessity.
•
•
Training will be delivered using your Daxko Operations training site. The training site is a practice environment that mirrors your Daxko Operations live site. Because the Daxko Operations training site is accessed via the Internet, a reliable wired or wireless internet connection is needed. Set up and test your internet connection prior to the start of training. •
•
A projector and projection screen/area is needed. A LCD projector and projection screen/wall are needed in the computer lab to demonstrate your training site’s features. If you do not have a projector, the trainer can bring one.
Keep the participants happy.

Although it is by no means required, light refreshments are often a nice addition to the training sessions. This might include water, coffee and/or light snacks. For evening sessions, consider offering a cost-‐
effective meal for trainees such as pizza. If providing snacks is not possible, make sure that trainees can access a water fountain or vending machines. If the computer lab facility feels too hot or cold, participants easily become distracted. If possible, adjust the temperature of the room so that it is comfortable. If the temperature can’t be changed easily, you may want to tell participants to prepare for a warm or cold room before training starts.
