Daughters of Charity Foundation of New Orleans to Participate in GiveNOLA Day on Tuesday,
May 5th
New Orleans, LA – Daughters of Charity Foundation of New
Orleans announces its participation in GiveNOLA Day 2015.
Hosted by the Greater New Orleans Foundation, GiveNOLA Day
is the community’s second annual, 24-hour online charitable
giving event to inspire people to give generously to nonprofit
organizations that are making our region stronger, creating a
vibrant community for all.
Daughters of Charity Foundation is proud to be a participating
nonprofit. Over 180 years ago the Daughters of Charity began
their work in New Orleans focusing their service toward the
poorest and most abandoned, touching the lives of others
through health care, education, social and pastoral ministries. Their work continues today.
The mission of Daughters of Charity Foundation of New Orleans is to be the philanthropic advocate for
Daughters of Charity Services of New Orleans realizing and supporting its strategic direction as it
provides high-quality comprehensive, affordable health care for all members of the community.
The New Orleans metropolitan area now has access to eight Daughters of Charity Health Centers,
providing convenient and affordable access to primary care, pediatric care, pharmacy services,
behavioral health, dental, eye care, WIC, prenatal care and Medicaid enrollment. DCHCNO accepts most
private insurance, Medicaid and Medicare. Financial assistance is available, as well as low-cost
