Marketing Assistant Parramatta Location 12 month part-time position (possible extension) Work in a dynamic role for a dynamic organisation The Deaf Society of New South Wales is a not-for-profit organisation which provides a range of services and programs to support deaf people and their families. We are seeking a Marketing Assistant to join our Access and Community Engagement Team for three days per week. If successful, you will have an integral role in: supporting the Marketing Executive to implement the 2015-2016 Marketing Plan developing promotional materials for the Deaf Society general marketing including social media and email, website maintenance, event coordination and administrative tasks. The selection criteria for the position are as follows: Essential Skills: High level computer literacy and PC skills with practical experience in the production of marketing material using InDesign, Photoshop and the Adobe Creative Suite Highly organised and efficient with attention to detail Able to manage multiple projects and competing deadlines Excellent communication skills Self motivation, initiative and ability to work independently Proven ability to work cooperatively and flexibly as part of a team Imagination and the capacity for innovation Desirable Skills: Ability to communicate in Auslan and/or experience with using an interpreter Knowledge and/or experience of deafness, deaf culture, history of deaf education and communication modes used by deaf people Tertiary qualifications in marketing, communications, graphic design or similar Social media and digital marketing experience For a full position description, further enquiries or to apply, please email Ivana Krunes, Marketing Executive at [email protected].
