What you need to do:
1) Pick up this packet
2) Get (3) Teacher recommendation forms filled
out and returned to DHS Fusion Guard
Director, April Hughes
3) Get copy of most recent report card to bring
with you to the 1st day of auditions GPA of 2.0
or better required
4) Participate in (3) day training session
5) Audition for judges
Audition Dates:
April 20-23
What to Wear?
NO JEANS!
Short or Sweats are appropriate
Shirts must cover midriff- No sports bras
Supportive undergarments
4:30pm-7:00pm (Band Room)
Dance clothes are encouraged
Hair is PULLED Back!
-Buns and Ponytails are fine
-no hats, scarves, or wigs
Expenses…
As is the case with most co-curricular and
after school activities, there are expenses
associated with becoming a member. Each
member will be responsible for meeting
these expenses according to established
fundraising guidelines.
Any expenses not covered through
fundraising will have to be met out of
pocket.
Failure to meet financial obligations in a
timely fashion will result in suspension and
possibly removal from the team
Having sponsorships in advance is highly
suggested!!!!!!
Summer Rehearsals…
Summer rehearsals are required for all
members selected. Absences will not be
tolerated beyond normal vacation conditions
which must be submitted to the director prior
to vacation. Excessive absences or tardies to
summer rehearsals may terminate
membership in the program. Summer
rehearsals may be held twice a week at DHS.
Attendance at the annual summer band camp
immediately prior to returning to school in
August is also required of all members.
Family vacation is NOT an acceptable reason
for missing band camp. Plan accordingly!!
