Short bio
Prof. Jean-Charles Rochet is Professor of Banking and Finance, Senior Swiss Finance Institute
chair at University of Zurich and Research Associate at IDEI, Toulouse.
He has contributed with many influential articles and books on the theory of banks, insurance
and finance and more in general on economic theory. He has been fellow of the Econometric
Society since 1995 for which he has served as its president in 2012. He has been one of the
founders of the l'IDEI (Institut d'Economie Industrielle) in Toulouse (France).
