TORONTO TERMINAL MANUAL Section 3 Train Specific Instructions 6/1/2015 MONTREAL TRAINS June 1, 2015 1 TMC - Toronto - Montreal Toronto South Locomotive Engineers will report for duty and go off duty at TMC. Locomotive Engineers required to leave, or pickup equipment at Toronto Union Station will be shuttled between TMC and Toronto Union Station as required. Train 60/50 is dispatched from TMC as “J” train Monday to Saturday. Equipment train 60 will be lead consist. LEs train 50 will operate “J” train from TMC-Toronto Union Station LE’s train 60 will operate “J” train from Toronto Union Station to the point of separation – Perth or Brockville Station.60/50 “J” trains will be separated at Perth or Brockville as dispatched by the RTC. 60’s, engineers are Montreal South based they will report for duty at Toronto Union Station. Train 60/50 Toronto crew will bring train to Union Station and spot train under signal indication. In the absence of the Yardmaster crew is to be governed by the instructions governing such circumstances (Section 1 pages 8-9 of this manual) Trains 62/52 (Daily) are dispatched from TMC. Equipment of train 62 will be lead consist. LEs from train 52 will operate train from TMC to Toronto Union Station. LEs train 62 will operate “J” train from Toronto Union Station to the point of separation – Perth or Brockville Station. 62/52 “J” trains will be separated at Perth or Brockville as dispatched by the RTC. Train 62’s engineers are Montreal South based and they will report for duty at Toronto Union Station When separation of either “J” train takes place at Brockville the following applies; Pull entire train clear of westward signal 1257. 60 and 62 will not have passengers for Brockville. SM on 50 and 52 to be told to wait for the doors. When separation is complete and trains are secured give the SM the doors. Once tests are complete 60 or 62 may depart on signal indication. Brake test on 50 or 52 can be conducted when boarding is completed. LE’s on trains 50 and 52 must ensure the TSIC form is properly filled out after “J” train separation. Train 64 is from inbound train 70 Mon-Fri (80 on Saturday, Sunday) LEs will be shuttled from TMC to Toronto Union Station. Train 66 is dispatched from TMC Daily ex Fri, Sat. LE’s will be shuttled from TMC to Union on Fri, Sat Train 68 is dispatched from TMC Sunday to Friday. Train 668 is dispatched from TMC Friday and Sunday June 1, 2015 2 Montreal - Toronto - TMC Train 61 operates Monday to Saturday, equipment cycles to TMC. Wye the equipment and store. Train 63 operates daily, equipment cycles to train 75 Sun-Thu (81 Fri & Sat) in Toronto Union Station. LEs train 63 will be shuttled from Toronto Union Station to TMC. Train 65 operates daily. Train 48 is a run-through train Mon-Fri, LEs will be shuttled to Union Station Train 48 is dispatched from TMC on Saturday. Train 648 is dispatched from TMC Sunday. Train 76 will couple on and train will operate as “J” train to Kingston. Train 648 needs to be spotted prior to arrival of train 76 June 1, 2015 6 Ottawa - Toronto - TMC Train 41 operates Monday to Friday, equipment cycles to TMC. Wye the equipment and store. Train 41 requires a 1A and Pre-departure inspection on Monday. Train 641 operates Sat, equipment cycles to TMC. Wye the equipment and store. . Train 43 operates Monday to Friday, equipment cycles to TMC. Wye the equipment and store. Train 43 requires a 1A and Pre-departure inspection on Monday to Friday. Train 45 operates Friday to Monday. Equipment cycles through on Fri, Sun, Mon. LE’s will be shuttled to TMC. Equipment cycles to TMC on Sat - wye equipment and store Train 45 requires a 1A and Pre-departure inspection Monday, Saturday and Sunday. Train 45 will need to be pulled up for loading on Saturdays Train 51 operates Monday to Friday, equipment cycles to TMC. Wye equipment and store. Train 643 operates Saturday and Sunday, equipment cycles to TMC. Wye equipment and store. Train 643 requires a 1A and Pre-departure inspection. Train 47 operates daily, equipment cycles through Sun-Fri. On Sunday equipment of 47 will couple on to equipment of train 65 to form 79 (47 is DH portion) *Crews on 47 please see “General Section, Spotting Trains in Union Station” for instructions on coupling to equipment on arrival at Union Station. Train 87 cycles through Fri to Sun. LEs will be shuttled to Union station. At Sarnia, wye the equipment and store in Tempo yard. Train 87 to be spotted for wayside. Contractor will meet train and connect to wayside. LE’s will be responsible to shut down power for contractor and set up train for wayside. Sarnia -Toronto - TMC Locomotive Engineers must be in possession of the applicable TGBOs, DOBs for their train prior to departing Tempo track. Train 84 is required to perform a Locomotive Brake Test, plus a PDI, and #1A brake test prior to leaving Sarnia Station. (This is an exception to PTI 4.5.2). Contractor will disconnect train from wayside. LE’s will be responsible to set up train as required. Train 84 operates Daily, equipment cycles through. Locomotive Engineers required to leave or pickup equipment at Toronto Union Station will be taxied between TMC and Toronto Union Station as required. Train 71 operates Daily will be dispatched from TMC. Windsor, wye entire train on the Jefferson St. wye. Train 73 is dispatched from TMC Daily. Windsor, wye the entire consist on Jefferson St. wye. Train 75 is from inbound train Sun-Thu. LEs will be shuttled from TMC to Toronto Union Station. Windsor, wye the entire consist on Jefferson wye and store on track 2. Train 79 Daily cycles from inbound Train.. LEs will be shuttled from TMC to Toronto Union Station. On Sunday 65 and 47 will join to become 79. Tail end portion is for train 82 Mon, to be cut off at London. LEs train 79DH will be in position at London to set off trailing cars and unit. Windsor, wye the entire consist on Jefferson wye store on track 3. The TSTR and briefing document from train 79 must be brought to the hotel where staff will fax it to Montreal. All trains should arrive and depart from track 1. Crews must ensure the fueling contractor has finished fueling the locomotive before departing to wye the equipment. It is the locomotive engineer’s responsibility to ensure that all baggage staff is clear of the baggage car in Windsor before commencing any movement. When spotting trains in Windsor for wayside please abide by the following; Track 1 Spot the east end of the first car behind the unit at the east end of the yellow ground power box Track 2 and 3 spot the east end of the first car behind the unit on the yellow mark. June 1, 2015 13 Windsor – Toronto - TMC Locomotive Engineers must be in possession of the applicable TGBOs, DOBs for their train prior to departing Windsor Station. Equipment Maintenance staff will leave the coach closest to the locomotive with the steps down and the vestibule door locked. Train 70 and 72 LEs must perform a Locomotive Brake Test prior to departure from Windsor Station, and then their PDI and #1A brake test. (This is an exception to PTI 4.5.2) Train 70 operates Mon-Fri, Train 70 must be spotted on track 1, 30 minutes prior to departure. The equipment cycles to train 64 in Toronto Union Station. LEs will be shuttled from Toronto Union Station to TMC. Train 72 operates Daily, and must be spotted on track 1 thirty minutes prior to departure. The equipment cycles through Daily. LEs will be shuttled from Toronto Union Station to TMC. Train 76 Mon –Fri, equipment cycles to train 48. One LE must remain with the locomotive and provide a direct hand-off to the crew of 48. LE’s will be shuttled to TMC Train 76 Saturday cycles to TMC. Train 76 Sunday equipment cycles to DH portion of 648 in Toronto Union Station*. Crews on train 98 are required to call the Seaway Bridge Controller to advise them of the departure time from Niagara Falls. Unless the train is directly handed off to EM staff - LE’s are responsible to ensure train is secured with all end doors locked on all coaches. London Friday set equipment over to track 2 and couple with train 88, set up train then deadhead on equipment. If space permits crew may deadhead on 78. Sunday, LEs will deadhead train 79. London LEs will be in position to cut off cars and unit from train 79. London cut equipment wye and store track 3. Spot for wayside. Unless the train is directly handed off to EM staff - LE’s are responsible to ensure train is secured with all end doors locked on all coaches. Train 85 is dispatched from TMC daily. London wye equipment and store Track 2. Spot for wayside on Tue, Wed, Thu. Unless the train is directly handed off to EM staff - LE’s are responsible to ensure train is secured with all end doors locked on all coaches. Train 81 is from inbound train 63 Fri, Sat. LEs will be shuttled from TMC to Toronto Union Station. London, wye equipment and store on track 2. Unless the train is directly handed off to EM staff LE’s are responsible to ensure train is secured with all end doors locked on all coaches. London -Toronto - TMC Locomotive Engineers must have permission from RTC for their train prior to entering station track 1 London, and be in possession of the applicable OCS Clearance, TGBOs and DOBs for their train prior to departing London Station. Train 82 LEs must perform a Locomotive Brake Test prior to departure from London Station, and then their PDI and #1A brake test. Train 80 operates Sat-Sun, equipment cycles to train 64 in Toronto Union Station. LEs will be shuttled from Toronto Union Station to TMC. Train 88 operates daily. Friday operates as 1X1 with equipment ex train 83. Equipment cycles to TMC. Wye equipment and store. Locomotive Engineers required to leave or pickup equipment at Toronto Union Station will be taxied between TMC and Toronto Union Station as required. Locomotive Engineers must be in possession of the applicable TGBO’s, DOB’s, TSTRs and other necessary forms for their train prior to departing the TMC. Train 650 is dispatched from the TMC Monday to Friday. Kingston, Monday to Friday, wye equipment and store in Queens. Sunday, equipment is from train 76 coupled on to 648 (as a “J”consist) LEs deadhead on train 648. Kingston LEs will be in position to cut off cars and unit from train 648 then wye and store equipment at Queens once 648 has departed. Kingston – Toronto - TMC Locomotive Engineers must have permission from RTC for their train prior to entering station track Kingston, and be in possession of the applicable TGBO’s and DOB’s for their train prior to departing the Queens Service track. Train 651 operates Monday to Friday, equipment cycles to TMC. (wye Tue-Fri) Train 651, 653(when operated) and 655 require a Locomotive Brake Test, PDI, and a 1A brake test prior to departure from the wye. (This is an exception to PTI 4.5.2) Train 655 operates Saturday only, equipment cycles to TMC.
