WebAdmin Introduction
About
IceWarp Server version 11.2 comes with a new WebAdmin interface. The intended audience of this new administration tool are
server and domain administrators. The current WebAdmin version covers approximately a usual agenda of a domain
administrator.
As for the previous WebAdmin version, the full-featured server administrative console is needed for comprehensive remote
server management – e.g. for AntiSpam, AntiVirus, Content Filters, etc.
Interface Description
The WebAdmin GUI consists of two main parts:

control bar

datagrid lists
Control Bar
This bar allows you to manage domains and accounts.
Control bar icons:

Home – click the icon to show the domain(s) you have rights to administer.

Plus/New – click the icon to open a menu that allows you to add a new user, group or mailing list.

Support – click the icon to open the IceWarp Support web page.

Context sensitive search – click the icon to open a search text field. This search allows you to search within the currently
shown datagrid (domains, users, devices, etc.). E.g. when domain users are shown, entering a user name (or even its part)
and hitting Enter shows items that match this string.

Logout – click the button to end your work with WebAdmin and logout.

Domain Administration
To administer rights of domain admins, use the server administrative console – <user> – Options tab – Permissions (– Domain
Administrator) – Rights button. The Domain Admin Rights dialog opens. Select the wished categories the domain admin is to be
able to administer.
NOTE: Currently (April 2015), WebAdmin allows domain admins to administer domains, users, groups and mailing
lists.
Clicking the Advanced button (within the Domain Admin Rights dialog) opens the domain.dat file, where you can enter other
domains the domain admin is to be able to administer. For syntax examples, click the Comment button and scroll down.

NOTE: The current version – 11.2 – does not allow system administrators to restrict settings items that domain
admins are to be able to administer. From version 11.3, this will be possible.
WebAdmin in Tablet or Mobile Phone
WebAdmin pages fit their size to a used device (desktop, tablet, phone). This feature can ease your work a lot when you are not
at your desk and need to do something urgent. Reset an expired account, change its limits or permissions, manage client
applications and other account features – all this (and much more) can be done from your mobile phone or tablet.
In-line Help
All WebAdmin sections include brief explanations of possible settings. For detailed description, refer to the console F1 help file
(manual.chm) or to individual PDF guides – e.g. Domains and Accounts.
Access to the Previous WebAdmin Version
You may want to use the previous version of WebAdmin, as you are familiar with it. It also provides wider coverage of settings. In
this case, use the following path syntax:
<path_to_new_version>/old
Example: http://mail.domain.com/admin/old
