SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
AND CATERGORY DESCRIPTIONS
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Practicing architects and designers in the greater Seattle area (up to a 50 mile
radius) may submit projects completed before January 1, 2015. Other
building industry professionals or agencies may submit projects on behalf of
an architect or designer. When one designer is not the sole author, all other
participants contributing substantially to the design of the project must be given
credit as part of the submission, regardless of professional discipline.
Only one project can be submitted per category, but the same project can be
entered in multiple categories. Descriptions of categories are below.
Entries must complete the form below, attaching digital images that displays the
category clearly. Images must be either a .jpg, .pdf or .png file under 5MB. All
images should be professional and clear. Deadline for submission is March 20thth
at 11:59 pm.
Nominees will be announced online on March 25th, 2015 and winners will be
announced at the Seattle Design Awards ceremony on April 25th, 2015.
JUDGING CRITERIA
Submissions will be judged on quality of design, resolution of the program or idea,
and innovation, thoughtfulness, technique and additional elements in descriptions
below. Decisions will be based solely on the materials submitted. It is therefore
important that submissions convey to the judges a full understanding of the project.
Each entry in the Seattle Design Awards is judged on the success with which it has
met its individual requirements. Entries are weighed individually, not in competition
with others.
