The Otago Museum website can be found at http://otagomuseum.nz KEYNOTE SPEAKERS Peter McCluskey is Director of the Save Sight Institute at Sydney Eye Hospital and Professor and Chair of Ophthalmology at the University of Sydney. He is an inflammatory eye disease specialist with more than 25 years experience in the field, and has developed a close relationship with the University of Otago through shared research interests with Professor Molteno, the Master of Medicine (Ophthalmic Science) / Postgraduate Diploma in Ophthalmic Basic Sciences course run jointly by Sydney and Otago Universities respectively, as well as contributing greatly to the Dunedin Ophthalmology Clinical (Part 2) Course. Helen Danesh-­‐Meyer is the Sir William and Lady Stevenson Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Auckland and the Founding Managing Trustee of GNZ. She is recognised internationally for her research in the area of glaucoma and neuro-­‐ophthalmology. Helen completed her undergraduate medical degree through Otago University in 1991 and undertook her ophthalmology training in Dunedin, Christchurch and Auckland – a student of Professor Molteno at both under-­‐ and postgraduate levels. She subsequently did her sub-­‐
speciality training in glaucoma at Wills Eye Hospital in Philadelphia. Helen is heavily involved in teaching and research in NZ and overseas, chairs the RANZCO Congress Scientific Committee, and also is a highly valued contributor to the Dunedin Ophthalmology Clinical (Part 2) Course. CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT (CPD) ACCREDITATION The Royal Australian and NZ College of Ophthalmologists has approved this CPD activity for 6 points in the Clinical Expertise category, level 1. CPD Accreditation from the NZ Association of Optometrists is pending.
