POWERTRAIN
Engine
Two new EcoTec3 Engines.
•5.3L V8 EcoTec3 FlexFuel (L83)
(SLE, SLT).
–355 hp @ 5600 rpm (est.).
–383 lb.-ft. @ 4100 rpm (est.).
•6.2L V8 EcoTec3 FlexFuel
(L83) (Denali).
–420 hp @ 5600 rpm (SAE certified).
–460 lb.-ft. @ 4100 rpm (SAE certified).
Both engines use a trio of technologies
to achieve improvements in torque,
horsepower and fuel economy:
–Spark Ignition Direct Injection (SIDI) –
Creates more power from less fuel
by injecting fuel directly into the
combustion chamber. This creates
a higher compression ratio that
increases efficiency and horsepower.
back
–Active Fuel Management (AFM) –
Deactivates four of the engine’s eight
cylinders when they’re not needed,
such as when maintaining cruising
speed, for better fuel efficiency.
–Continuously Variable Valve Timing
(CVVT) – Uses sophisticated control
algorithms to precisely position valve
timing for improved power over the
entire operating range, improved fuel
economy and improved emissions.

TRANSMISSION
•Hydra-Matic 6L80 6-speed automatic
transmission – Specially designed
for use in SUVs, the transmission’s
six forward gears have smaller
“steps” between them, compared to a
conventional 4-speed automatic, which
bolsters both performance and the
feeling of smoothness.
•Driver Shift Control – Provides
the “hands on” driving satisfaction
of a manual with the ease of an
automatic transmission using GM’s
TAPshift technology.
•Tow/Haul mode – Minimizes frequent
shifting often occurring while towing
a heavy trailer; Tow/Haul mode is
activated by a button on the shift lever.
•Auto Grade Braking – The transmission
is enhanced so that in normal mode it
downshifts during deceleration, using
engine compression to assist braking
and helping reduce brake wear.

OVERVIEW
The Expedition King Ranch EL is a special edition
of Ford’s largest SUV. While the Expedition’s cargo
volume is significant, Yukon XL features greater
comfort and convenience for customers from its
spaciousness, cargo and passenger flexibility and
its versatile and abundant storage compartments.
The Yukon XL’s advanced safety alert and security
technologies provide segment-leading protection,
and IntelliLink offer several advantages in
infotainment that include greater connectivity,
customization and control. In addition, Yukon
XL’s quiet cabin and controlled ride contribute to
an outstanding driving experience, a big plus for
targeted customers.
YUKON XL ADVANTAGES
•More comfort – Denali features tri-zone climate
controls to keep all passengers comfortable,
while the Expedition provides limited, dual-zone
coverage. Adding to personal comfort, Denali
offers 12-way versus 10-way adjustment of the
power front seats and a heated steering wheel.
•More spacious interior for driver and
passengers – With the exception of rear seating,
Yukon XL offers more head, leg, shoulder and
hip room up front and in the second row.

OVERVIEW
The all-wheel-drive Infiniti QX80 is a formidable
luxury SUV. It was re-badged from the QX56 for
the model year 2014 and includes an available
new safety technology called “Backup Collision
Intervention.” Despite this addition, the 2015
Denali features many more safety technologies as
standard equipment. The QX80 has a 5.6L V8 with
lower horsepower and torque than Denali’s 6.2L
EcoTec3 V8.
DENALI ADVANTAGES
•More comfort and convenience – Denali
features a 12-way power front seat and 4-way
power lumbar support for both the driver and the
passenger, while the QX80 has a 10-way power
seat for the driver and an 8-way power seat for
the front passenger with 2-way power lumbar
supports for each. The Denali also includes
standard power bucket seats in the second
row versus standard manual bucket seats for
the QX80.
•More spacious interior for driver and
passengers – With the exception of rear
leg room, the Denali offers more head, leg,
shoulder and hip room.

front center air bag for added protection for the
driver and front passenger in case of far-side
