Luis Levy

Luis obtained his B Com degree from the University of Cape Town and is a CFA Charter Holder.
He started his financial services career in 1998 at Old Mutual and has gained valuable
experience in fund management at several leading financial institutions. Luis was one of the
founders of Mergence Investment Managers – a company which he helped expand to assets
under management in excess of R6 billion in institutional funds at the time of his
departure. During his career he has also managed numerous retirement funds. As Managing
Director of Efficient Select, Luis oversees the Specialist Manager Boutique and the progression
of the company in the institutional market.

Brendan’s career commenced at
Valugro Capital as junior analyst. After
the merger in 2007 he progressed up
the ranks to CIO of Efficient Select in
2010. He is a CFA Charter Holder and is
responsible for the multi-boutique asset
management philosophy, processes and
investment team at Efficient Select.
Nolan obtained his MCom degree from
the University of the Witwatersrand and
is a CA(SA). He gained experience in
trading and structuring fixed income at
both Rand Merchant Bank and Deutsche
Bank. He previously headed the Deutsche
Bank European Structured Credit Finance
trading desk with assets under
management in excess of $3 billion.

Robert has been with Efficient Select
since 2008 and has been the coportfolio manager of Efficient Select’s
Specialist Funds since 2011. Besides his
Portfolio Management role, Robert was
also actively involved in equity research
and making asset allocation decisions
across Efficient Select’s funds. Robert
holds a BComm Honours degree in
Financial Analysis from the University of
Stellenbosch and is also a CFA charter
holder.
Callan Williamson joined the Efficient
Select team after completing a BSSci
degree in Finance at the University of
Cape Town.

Niklas completed an Honours degree in
Actuarial Science, Quantitative Finance
and Statistics at the University of Cape
Town. He specialises in Quantitative
Methods and Research.
Ryan Mccaughey joined the Efficient
Select team after completing a Bcom
Honours degree in Financial Analysis at
the University of Stellenbosch.

Joel Andrews commenced employment
at Efficient Select as a Junior Analyst. He
earned his BCom Honours in Finance
from the University of Western Cape.
Olwethu Mzaca graduated from the
University of Cape Town in 2010 with a
Bachelor of Business Science and her
Honours in Economics. She started her
career in the financial industry in 2011
and worked as a Compliance Assistant
for Sanlam Investment Management.
Olwethu joined Efficient Select as a
Trainee Fixed Income Analyst.
Bianca Botha
Portfolio Administrator
BCom Honours
Bianca Botha joined the Efficient Select
team as an Administrative Assistant and
has since progressed to a Portfolio
Administrator. She earned her BCom
Honours in Finance and Investments
from the University of Western Cape.
