Chief of Staff / Analyst AeroFarms (www.aerofarms.com) is the commercial leader in vertical controlled environment agriculture and is seeking a Senior Analyst with exceptional analytical and writing skills and very strong attention to detail. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of experience in an analyst role with responsibilities including financial modeling, complex research, financial and business analysis and presentation of work to management. The Company AeroFarms is dedicated to enabling local production at commercial scale in different markets throughout the world. We are focused on developing local farms that grow flavorful, safe, pesticide-free produce that can be easily traced from farm to fork through a simple and transparent supply chain. As we scale, we are looking for dedicated people who can help us address our global food crisis and fundamentally transform agriculture. AeroFarms is building a new state-of-the-art facility in Newark, NJ that will be the world’s largest indoor vertical farm for leafy greens and herbs and will serve the NY Metro area. AeroFarms plans a significant scaling of the business, including facilities in additional cities in the near-term. In addition to North America, the company also has farms under development in other regions of the world. Role You will report to the CEO and will be responsible for maintaining various follow ups of the Leadership team, assisting in board communication, conducting market research, business and financial analysis of new market opportunities, detailed reporting on the company’s current active priorities, and various thoughtful and administrative support activities. The position will require excellent communication skills, both written and oral. You will need the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced pressure environment as well as a good command of financial modeling and power point. The Chief of Staff / Analyst will experience significant exposure to various aspects of the company's business and to senior management through projects and assignments and is expected to transition to another role within the company within two years. Main activities to include: • Writing: writing various internal and external communication pieces from the CEO • Financial Modeling: Exploring the economics of various initiatives • Business Analysis: Support various initiatives in understanding proposals and various opportunities • Project Management. Monitor and deliver project checklists and timelines. Drive assigned tasks to completed outcomes • Special Projects: Under the direction of CEO and possibly other managers, manage and support projects across a variety of disciplines related to accomplishment of strategic objectives of the company • Administrative: a whatever it takes attitude to help the CEO with all tasks, including administrative so as to free him up to focus on higher value items Qualifications: The hard working, self-motivated candidate will possess: • High Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to collaborate with finance, marketing, operations, engineering and horticulture teams to effectively achieve required outcomes • Investment banking, private equity, consulting or corporate strategy experience preferred • Must be detail oriented and well organized • Top grades at a top university
