No Wrong Door 3-Year Implementation Plan Stakeholder Meetings Invitation The PA Link to Aging and Disability Resources asks you to share your knowledge and experience in a series of meetings devoted to improving long term service and support in Pennsylvania. The PA Link, in collaboration with the Departments of Aging, Human Services and Military and Veteran’s Affairs, is in the process of developing a three-year plan to implement a No Wrong Door (NWD) system in the Commonwealth. You’ve probably already participated in meetings to identify opportunities, barriers and strengths. These meetings focus on planning the future and developing specific workable plans. What is a No Wrong Door System? Shared statewide approach for Long Term Service and Support (LTSS) For all populations regardless of age, income, ability or program eligibility Including all payers: federal, state, local and private What does NWD look like in practice? No matter where you go, you receive a consistent consumer experience through a personcentered approach to find what you need—or at least the next step in planning. You don’t have to repeat your story multiple times to multiple agencies—your information follows you among agencies. Once you plan services, there is shared, coordinated management among providers and agencies. Workgroup teams (comprising representatives from state, county and local LTSS agencies and organizations) have developed draft plans to address issues of public outreach, structure, outcome measurement and state support. The teams need your knowledge, expertise, and insights to ensure that the planning is on target and represents the needs and goals of all Pennsylvanians. The team will convene fifteen days of stakeholder meetings throughout the Commonwealth to gather further input on how to implement a NWD system that works for all regions, providers, agencies and consumers. Meetings will feature a series of facilitated discussions on specific topics: Morning sessions will focus on public outreach, NWD structure and provider engagement. Afternoon sessions will focus on outcome measurement, data gathering and governance. Who do we need at the table? Everyone who supports people with long-term care needs: PA Link Partners Centers for Independent Living County Mental Health/Intellectual Disability Medical Professionals Transportation Agencies United Way Advocates for Persons with Disabilities Insurers and Managed Care Organizations Area Agencies on Aging County Veteran’s Service Officers LTSS Providers Housing Agencies Hospital Administration/Staff UCP Administration/Staff Non-Profit Organizations State and County Government staff Page 1 of 3 Morning Sessions run from 9am to 12pm.
