Things to Check (in order)

•
Either the word “Ice” (600, 700, PRO48) or a set of
ice cubes (BI) appears in the control display
Has the unit been on 24hrs?
•
Icemakers may not cycle until 24 hours pass
Freezer temperatures are normal?
•
Freezer temperatures should be at or near 0°F
•
Cleaning the condenser can improve temperatures if
not done recently
Ice bucket is in place properly?
•
Ice bucket must make contact with the switches
behind it for the icemaker to operate
Icemaker arm is in the down position?
•
Turn unit off now and if arm is up, push down gently
Blue or green ice is caused by copper corrosion

Consult a plumber to clean the line connected to the
refrigerator or replace it

Adding one or replacing the water filter may help
Black flecks in ice cubes

Freezer odors cause ice to taste bad

Clean the freezer using soap and water

Place coffee grounds or charcoal briquettes in the
freezer to absorb odor

When the freezer does not smell bad, water supply to
the unit is causing the problem

Water travels through plastic tubing in the unit so
often the unit is not the cause of bad tasting ice
Plastic sensing arm is attached?
•
Reinstall if needed or replace if broken
Icemaker is free of obstruction or jammed cubes?
•
After freeing obstructions, turn unit off then on again
to reset, ensuring icemaker is on
•
Use a hairdryer on low to free stuck ice cubes
Any water supply issues? (Causes small cubes/no ice)
Water must be turned on, shutoff might be located:
Stop use and contact a factory certified service
Hollow ice cubes

Clean condenser, set temperatures right, contact
factory certified service if still unresolved
Ice Production
Standard production is 64-96 ice cubes per day

May take 2 days to fill ice bucket full from empty
•
Under the kitchen sink

An average glass holds about 10-12 ice cubes
