2015 SEASON
The 2015 Women’s Soccer season starts Monday, June 1 at 8 pm. Joining this recreational league is an
excellent way to have fun, renew old acquaintances, and make new friends!
Games Times: The game times are 8 pm every Monday night throughout the summer. The season will consist
of 10 weeks with rainout games played at the end of the summer. Games will not be played on Monday, June
29th (due to set up for Canada Day festivities at the Recreation Centre) or the August Civic holiday (Monday,
August 3rd).
The Players: The league is open to all female ArcelorMittal Dofasco employees, ArcelorMittal Dofasco
retirees, partners of ArcelorMittal Dofasco employees, and daughters of ArcelorMittal Dofasco
employees/retirees. A maximum of 4 non-ArcelorMittal Dofasco “associate” players will also be allowed on
each team.
The Teams: Players will be evenly distributed to fill 6-8 teams (target 12 players per team with 6 players on
the field at once). Each team is encouraged to recruit a coach to assist in rotating players and providing
support and guidance to players.
Requests for placement with other players will only be taken into account if specified on the attached
application (maximum of 3 people). In an effort to maintain a competitive balance, the league reserves
the right for final placement. Players will be reshuffled each year to different teams. Also, in an effort to
maintain a balance in the league, we are asking players to give us an idea of their playing capabilities and shirt
size.
Equipment: Players are required to wear shin guards for all games and to remove any rings, watches, or
jewelry that may result in injury due to contact with the ball. Soccer shoes are also highly recommended.
Fees: The fee for the 2015 season is $30 (HST incl.), ($40 for associate players). The fee includes your tshirt, field rentals, etc. Note: Socks are not included.
Applications: Please complete the application on page two of this document and return to the Rec Park along
with payment. Late applications will be accepted only if there is a need to fill teams to the maximum.

will be played Monday’s at 8:00 p.m. To register, complete this form and return it to the F.H. Sherman
Recreation & Learning Centre, 388 First Rd East, Stoney Creek, On L8J 2X3 along with a cheque payable to
ArcelorMittal Dofasco Women’s Soccer League (cheques may be post-dated to May 16th, 2015).
Application deadline: Saturday, May 16th, 2015. Please do not pay cash (if cash payment is lost there is
no way to track and you may have to pay your fee again.)
