About Our Shelter
Dog Orphans Animal Shelter, founded
forty-for years ago by a small group of
animal lovers, is an organization dedicated
to saving dogs from pain and suffering.
We are a non-profit, no-kill shelter
governed by a volunteer board of directors.
It is self supporting, relying solely on
donations and adoption fees to keep the
shelter in operation. We do not receive any
state or federal funding.
After entering our program, all dogs are
spayed or neutered, given a heartworm
test, a booster shot, rabies shot, I.D. tag,
groomed and are provided foster care until
a permanent home is found. Since we like to
make sure potential owners and their new
pet are happy, all adopters are given thirty
days to decide if the dog they have chosen
is a suitable match.
Because we do not euthanize any dogs in
our program, we need your support. We ask
that you consider adopting one of our fourlegged friends, making a donation, or
perhaps referring us to someone you know
who is looking for a great companion.

fundraising page through firstgiving.com
Friends, family, co-workers can pledge your
walk online or download & print out the
pledge sheet on our web site and do it the
old fashioned way.
Sponsor sheets will be located at all of our
supporters or contact us at 508-476-1855
and we will be happy to mail them to you.

If You Decide To Bring Your Dog
All dogs are required to have a current
rabies vaccination.
clean up bags will be provided and must
be disposed of properly.
An adult must control the leash at all
times.
Aggressive dogs, female dogs in season
and puppies under 4 months of age are
best left at home.
Water stations for your dog will be provided
No dogs may be left unattended at any time.
