Don Scott was a biology teacher, track coach, and a beloved leader at Manhasset High School for
42 years. On November 4th 2010 he lost his three month battle with colon cancer. The Don Scott
Memorial Foundation was founded to make a difference in the fight against colon cancer. A large
portion of the funds raised through the Don Scott Memorial Foundation will be dedicated
towards transparent colon cancer research initiatives, public awareness, screening, and outreach.
In addition, the foundation will support the needs of the Manhasset High School running sports
including an annual student scholarship.
