Locate and label all the Power Cords. Power Socket IDs can be found on nearby labels. It will be
important to return the power cords to the proper location.

Label the IB cables with the Leaf’s ID and the connected port number. (Example: L225-P04)
This will help in replacing the cables to the correct ports.
o
All Leaf will have an ID that can be found on a label on the chassis. Refer to Appendix 1A
for all Leaf IDs.
o
Each Port will have an ID that can be found on the Leaf itself. Refer to the below diagrams
for port IDs depending on the type of Leaf:

Remove the cables by pulling on the release tab.

While pushing in on the Fan release latch, pull the module from the chassis.

Remove the screws holding the plates to the C-Bracket supports.

Position the empty box bottom with the opening toward the rack holding the chassis. The chassis will be
slid from the rack onto the slides.

Once the chassis is out of the rack, remove the side plates. Take note of which positioning holes were
used for the screws.

Unbox the new chassis. Attach the side plates and position the box so the new chassis can be slid into
the rack.

You may need to use a pallet jack to lift the new chassis to the proper height.
