*Families consist of two paying adults who are legally bound and residing at the
same residence and their children.
Membership Invoices must be paid in full by April 1st each season.
Any refunds (green fees only) during the season that are approved by Fairmont
are subject to proration and must be applied for before August 1st each season.
Note: Dues do not include any payments the Club may collect for the conduct
of its business or for dues in any provincial or national association.

Booking Tee Times:
Regular times:
 Online – go to www.banffspringsgolfclub.com & click on the flag
symbol Members (To book tee times); this will take you to the Fairmont
booking page; select the course you wish to play, the date & time and
number of players; click the Book button and then the confirm button
once it pops up. You should receive a confirmation email on the email
address you provided when you set up your account.

Men’s Night:
 Online – go to www.banffspringsgolfclub.com & click on the MEN’S
button at the top of the page; click on MEN’S NIGHT SIGN UP, enter
your name, handicap and early or late, then submit. Draw closes at
7:00pm on Mondays. After Monday return to the MEN’S site and click
on MEN’S NIGHT DRAW for your Wednesday tee time.

Ladies Night:
 Online – go to www.banffspringsgolfclub.com & click on the LADIES
button at the top of the page; click on LADIES DAY SIGN UP; enter
your name & whether you want to play 9 or 18 holes, then submit. Draw
closes at 10:00pm on Sundays. Call back after noon on Monday for the
draw times.

Junior night:
 Tunnel Juniors require adult supervision on the course; Tuesdays from
5:00 to 6:30pm are instruction nights & go from the course opening to
the 3rd week in August. Thursdays are course play nights & tee times
start at 3:45pm.
 Stanley Juniors require no adult supervision; Sundays from 4:00 to
6:00pm are instruction nights & go from course opening until the end of
June. Starting at 2:00pm Tuesday July 8 & going to the 3rd week in
August is the Tommy’s Stanley Junior League.

Entering Handicaps:
 Online – go to www.banffspringsgolfclub.com & click on the
SCORECARD; this will take you to the GOLF CANADA site; enter
your Username & Password (if you don’t know what they are, contact
Ken Riordon, Secretary Treasurer). Click on the ENTER SCORE
button; select the date played, the course, number of holes, tee played
the your Adjusted Gross Score; click on Post Score.
Benefits:
1. Members may reserve a tee time 7 days in advance by phone or online
and 10 in advance by phone only (10 day bookings excludes times on Fri
to Sun prior to 2:40pm).
2. Members receive a 20% discount on Pro Shop purchases as well as on
food and beverage purchases on the course and Hotel.
No Shows
Any Member failing to cancel any portion of a reserved tee-time more than 48
hours in advance of said tee-time shall be subject to a Cancellation penalty of
50% of the unused tee-time, at the posted Canadian green fee rate.
The responsibility rests with the individual who booked the tee-time in
question.

Member Guest Rates
Members may bring one (1) guest to play with them at a time. The Member
must accompany the guest for the game of golf. The Member’s Guest will pay:

The rate includes the green fee, 1 seat (1/2 cart) in an electric golf cart or use of
a pull cart, and use of the practice facility. Exceptions may be made
Note: Exceptions may be made from time to time and depending on individual
circumstances for a member to bring up to three (3) guests to play with them in
one tee-time. All such requests must be made directly with the Director of
Golf. The same rate per player applies.
Green Fees:
Members do not pay a green fee to golf within the booking timelines.
Members wishing to book ahead of the 7-day booking window may do so at a
fee of 50% of the regular green fee price.
Local Rules
THE RULES OF THE ROYAL CANADIAN GOLF ASSOCIATION WILL
GOVERN ALL PLAY.
Except where modified by local rules:





All water hazards are defined by yellow stakes.
Lateral water hazards are identified by red stakes.
Stones in bunkers are removable obstructions.
Out of bounds is defined by white stakes.
You may take a 1 club length drop from all paths, roadways & any fallen
trees from their stump, no closer to the hole.

 Any ball coming to rest in damage caused by elk, including all bunkers, is
entitled to 1 club length relief, no closer to the hole. Any shot striking an
elk or other animal, may be replayed without penalty.
 White tees on Hole 15 are the player’s choice if all are in agreement,
unless tournament rules dictate otherwise.
Rental Equipment
The Fairmont Banff Springs has a number of Electric Golf Carts, Pull Carts,
Golf Clubs and Shoes for rent. While we endeavor to carry enough inventory
of these items to supply the demand, there are times when high volume of
demand occurs and some equipment is unavailable. In these instances we will
do what we can to provide the equipment at our earliest opportunity.
Private Carts
There is one (1) person grandfathered to continue to use their current private
power cart at The Fairmont Banff Springs. Once the person grandfathered
ceases to be a paying member or their power cart ceases to function
appropriately, the privilege will cease. The privilege and the power cart are
non-transferable and non-replaceable.
Electric Golf Carts
Members pay the following prices to rent these carts:
1 Seat (1/2 cart) for 18 holes
1 Seat (1/2 cart) for 9 holes
$26.00 + GST
$15.00 + GST
Members may also pre-purchase a pre-pack of 10, 1 seat (1/2 cart), electric cart
uses or an unlimited cart use fee. Every time a person is using a golf cart, the
pro-shop staff will remove one use from their card.

Members may choose to rent a 4-bag attachment for use with a cart. The 4-bag
attachment costs $25 +GST to rent for 18 holes and $15 +GST for 9-holes.

Note: Junior golfers are not encouraged to ride in electric golf carts. In the
event they do, they will pay the regular gas cart fee. At no time, are junior aged
golfers permitted to drive electric golf carts.
Pull Carts
Members pay the following prices to rent these:
18-holes
9-holes
$10 + GST
$5 + GST
Members may also pre-purchase a season pull-cart pass entitling them to use a
Pull Cart as required. While The Fairmont Banff Springs will endeavor to have
the proper number of Pull Carts to meet the demand, they are not responsible
for times when Pull Carts are not available due to heavy demand.
Season Pass $105 + GST
Note: There is no charge for Junior golfers to use Pull Carts.
Rental Clubs:
We have men’s, ladies and junior right and left handed clubs for rent.
Members may rent Clubs as follows:

Note: All rental clubs come with some golf balls to be used/kept by the renter.
Demo Equipment:
Members are encouraged to trial and purchase golf equipment through The
Fairmont Banff Springs Retail shop. In an effort to facilitate this, we bring in a
number of DEMO clubs. Members may trial equipment set aside for this
purpose at a fee of $25 +GST. Should the member subsequently purchase the
equipment or a brand new one, the $25 fee will be applied towards that
purchase.

Rental shoes
We have men’s and ladies shoes for rent. Members may rent shoes as follows:

Note: All rental clubs come with some golf balls to be used/kept by the renter.
Practice Facility:
Use of the practice facility is complimentary for Members.
The Practice Facilities regular hours of operation will be ½ hour (30 minutes)
prior to the first tee time until the last tee time of the day.
The facility will open early and remain open late when Instruction is booked
for these times.
Termination of Membership with Cause:
The Membership privileges of any Member may be terminated or suspended by
Fairmont upon the occurrence of any of the following events:
1) The failure of a Member to pay dues, fees or charges or other
indebtedness within the times established by Fairmont.
2) The determination by Fairmont that a Member has engaged in conduct
which, in Fairmont’s sole discretion, is reasonably calculated to
endanger, negatively impact the welfare, interest, or character of the Golf
club or Fairmont, or for any conduct in violation of the rules and
regulations set out in this document or other operating rules or
regulations of the Golf Club or Fairmont.
The Member acknowledges that the Member’s Membership in the Golf Club
and use of the Facilities is undertaken with knowledge of possible risk of injury
and damage to property. The Member hereby accepts any and all risk of injury
to the Member, the Member’s guests or family sustained while using the
Facilities or involved in any event or activity incident to Membership in the
Golf Club. In accepting the risk of injury and loss, the Member understands
that the Member is relieving the Golf Club, all Fairmont entities, all managers

of the Golf Club and the facilities, their affiliates, successors and assigns and
their respective partners, Members, directors, officers, shareholders, employees
and agents and the members of any advisory board or other committee or
other management or administrative body associated with eh Golf Club from
any and all loss, cost, claims, injury, damages or liability sustained or incurred
by the Member, the Member’s guests or family resulting from or arising out of
any conduct or event connected with Membership in the Golf Club and use of
any of the Facilities.
General Club Rules
1. Members, their families and guests shall abide by all rules and regulations
of the club, which may be amended.
2. The Club Facilities reserves the right to close, or limit the golf course
and clubhouse to hold promotional events, tournaments, maintenance
and repairs.
3. The Club or hotel must furnish all food and beverage consumed at the
Club.
4. Commercial advertisements, petitions shall not be posted or circulated in
the Club or on the Club’s or resort’s stationery without prior written
approval of Fairmont (requests/submissions to be made to the Director
of Golf).
5. Dogs or other pets (with the exception of Seeing Eye dogs) are not
permitted on the Golf Course or in the Clubhouse. Exceptions: The
Director of Golf, Superintendent and Parks Canada may at their
discretion take their dogs onto the course, in such a manner that they do
not interfere with golfers unless purposely working in a predetermined
capacity (ie, moving wildlife).
6. Any complaints or suggestions relating to the Course, Course
Operations or staff must be made in writing to the Director of Golf.
7. Any complaints or suggestions relating to the Golf Club or their
operations/events must be made in writing to the Golf Club President
and/or presiding Club Captain (ie, Junior, Men’s or Ladies).
8. Members and their guest may not abuse any of Fairmont’s staff. No
member or guest shall reprimand any staff. All such issues should be
reported to the Director of Golf immediately.
9. Members and their guest may not abuse any of the Club’s Board. No
member or guest shall reprimand any Board Member. All such issues
should be reported to the Club President immediately.

10. Violation of any of these rules or conduct not in the best interests of the
Club will subject the member in violation to disciplinary action by
Fairmont and the Club, in accordance with these Rules and Regulations.
11. Fairmont and the Club’s Board will have full authority to enforce these
Rules and Regulations.
12. Fairmont and The Club will not discriminate against any individual due
to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, or handicap.
Club Etiquette and Discipline
1. Members shall conduct themselves appropriately within the rules and
regulations as set forth by the Club at all times.
2. Members are responsible for their own conduct and for the conduct of
their family members and guests. Any member whose conduct or whose
family’s or guest’s conduct shall be deemed by the Club Management to
be likely to endanger the welfare, safety or reputation of the Club or its
members, to be offensive to other members or the general membership,
may be reprimanded, fined, suspended or expelled from the Club and
have all privileges suspended or terminated by the Club. The Club or
Review Board will be the sole judge regarding improper conduct which
will include without limitation: a) submitting false information on the
Membership Agreement, b) failing to pay any amount owed to the Club
in a proper and timely manner, c) allowing his or her Membership Card
to be used by another person, d) failing to abide by the rules and
regulations as set forth herein and as established by the Club, e) abusing
Club staff, f) acting in a manner incompatible with the standard conduct
which may harm the reputation of the Club. The Club reserves the right
to deem future conduct inappropriate as it sees fit to enhance the Club.
3. Any member accused of improper conduct shall be notified of the
Club’s proposed disciplinary action. The Club may suspend or terminate
all membership privileges without notice as per the recommendations
and decisions of the Club or Review Board.
4. The Club may restrict or suspend some or all of a member’s family or
guest's Club privileges. Restricted, suspended or terminated members
will not necessarily be entitled to a refund of any membership deposit,
dues or charges based on the account of the restricted action set forth.
5. Membership dues and charges shall continue to accrue in full prior to
reinstatement.

6. Terminated memberships will be treated as a resigned membership and
the membership deposit will be returned in accordance with the resigned
membership policy. Refunds will not be made until said member pays
all accounts in full.
Children
1. Children twelve years of age and under are not permitted at the Club
unless accompanied by an adult.
2. Members are responsible at all times for the conduct and safety of their
children when at the Club. Unaccompanied children, thirteen and older,
utilizing the Club remain the full responsibility of the member.
3. Unaccompanied Junior Players must have approval of the Director of
Golf prior to play.
