Instructions
Install 6 of the long aluminum spacers onto
a center plate using the 6 outside holes
between the arm slots.
Install second center plate, using only one
turn of the screw. Screws should be very
loose to allow spreading apart of plates.
Carefully spread center plates and snap
arm plates into place. Tighten screw for
each arm set enough to keep the arm
plates from falling out again.
Install 5 of the long aluminum spacers
between each set of arm plates. For the
last two spacers which are installed at the
end of the arm, only use one screw for
each spacer. We will need to be able to
spread the end of the arm apart later to
install the motor plates. Repeat for all
arms.
You may now tighten down all of the
screws in the center plate. It is a good
idea to use blue locktite whenever
possible. Do not use red locktite. If you
do not use thread lock, be sure to do a
flight check and check all screws for
tightness before flying.
Install one short aluminum spacer to the
small end of a landing gear plate. Slide
one of the rubber feet over the spacer.
Add second plate and screw to contain the
landing gear rubber feet. Repeat for all
landing gear.
Install large end of landing gear into the
arm, aligning the inner most top hole of the
arm with the top hole of the landing gear.
Insert screws and short aluminum spacer.
Repeat for all landing gear legs.
Rotate landing gear until the holes align
with the inner most hole on the bottom of
the arm. Insert screws and short
aluminum spacers to lock gear into place.
Again blue thread lock is a good idea.
Install one more short spacer into the
center holes of the landing gear leg. This
will stiffen the leg so it does not twist.
Repeat for all landing gear legs.
Now is a good time to install your motors
to the motor plates. Pay careful attention
to the wire routing and notice that there is
a hole in the plate so that you may route
the wires into the leg and away from the
props. Once the motor is installed (not
pictured) spread the arm plates apart and
snap the motor plate into place. Do the
same for the bottom. Always use a bottom
plate even if no motor is installed on the
bottom. Insert remaining screws, and
remember the thread lock if you have it.
Congratulations you are done.
Thank you, and I hope you enjoy your new
frame :)
