Secunderabad
Dear Parents
As Summer, with its longer days and less structured
schedules, gets under way, keep in mind that learning
happens all year long. During Summer break, children
forget some of what they learned during the school
year. So it becomes important to balance Summer fun with activities that have
an educational twist. As you plan art activities, sign up for the library’s
Summer reading programme and plot your family vacation, leaving room for
plenty of hands-on family projects.
“The most important thing that children gain from a hands-on curriculum
is support for their natural curiosity,” says Calcagno. “They explore,
question and wonder, and by doing so, learn!” Hands on projects and
experiments provide students the opportunity to both construct meaning and
knowledge by building connections between subjects. So this Summer, we have
an interesting integrated project for the students of Class IV.
Kindly let the child do his/her project on his/her own. You can help
him / her. The project has to be submitted in a stick file on the
re-opening day, i.e. 15 June,2015.
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice-cream!
