offer various services. Please refer to the yellow pages for a full listing of service providers.
The list is up to date at the time of printing, but we suggest you call before delivering any
materials to the locations listed. Fees and instructions will vary by company.
Appliance Disposal & ODS Removal
These companies will remove ODS (ozone-depleting substances) from refrigeration units (air conditioners, dehumidifiers,
freezers, fridges). Some also offer pick-up and disposal of appliances. Rates vary - call first.

Metals
These companies will take all scrap metal (i.e. barbeques, bicycle frames, tire rims, swing sets, fences, posts, car parts).
There are no disposal fees. Appliances must be free of ozone-depleting substances (See Appliance & ODS Removal on

Acceptable Items
Blue Box Recyclables
• boxes: cereal, detergent, cracker and tissue boxes (empty and flattened)
• paper: newspapers, catalogues, computer paper, flyers, envelopes, magazines, phone books, white and light coloured
writing paper and egg cartons
• cardboard: includes (clean) pizza boxes, appliance and packing boxes
• containers: aluminum, glass, steel, plastic bottles, jugs and tubs (look for the numbers 1, 2, 4 or 5 inside the recycling
logo), foil (including pie plates), empty metal paint cans (lid off), drink boxes, milk and juice cartons
Yard Materials
• plant trimmings, grass clippings ($1/bag), leaves, branches (<1 metre long, <10 cm dia)
Household Special Waste (HSW) No Disposal Charge
• paint, turpentine, gasoline, motor oil, antifreeze, cleaners, bleach, pesticides, fertilizers, poisons, acids, pool chemicals,
waste vegetable oil, fire extinguishers and aerosols.
Other Recyclable Items
• Tires, propane tanks, batteries, empty oil and antifreeze containers, fluorescent light bulbs and tubes.
Electronics
• computers, printers, radios, stereos, cameras, VCRs, televisions and monitors, etc.
Scrap Metal

Renovation, Construction & Roofing Materials - EnviroDepot Disposal Fees range from $15 for a minimum load to $50
for a single axle trailer load. Fees current at time of printing.

ceiling tiles, etc.
Goodwill Donation Centre
• Goodwill accepts gently used items that are in saleable condition, including clothing, shoes, books, housewares, etc.
Household Garbage
• Landfill banned materials will not be accepted. Banned materials include recyclable materials, renovation materials,
household special waste. Fees apply.
Bulky items are not accepted at the Depots i.e. mattresses, furniture, patio furniture, etc. Please place these items at
the curb for your regular collection.
