Hands-on and packed with information, this lab satisfies all
curious animal-loving kids! Learn the habitat, explore the habits,
study different parts and functions of snails, super worms, and
squid. Students will dissect squid.
Dates:1/14, 1/28, 2/4, 2/11(4 classes) Fees:$84(includes $10 supply fee, room fee)
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This class explores light and color. Learn about UV rays and
make a bracelet with UV beads; create a color wheel with
primary, secondary, and tertiary colors; explore reflection,
refraction, and absorption, and see what prisms can do. Classes
will include a detailed worksheet.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Simple scientific concepts are introduced through easy, stimulating
experiments. What’s in a Fizzy drink? Let’s have a splash with
Mentos and soda. We’ll make root beer (and take some home too) as
we learn about yeast and carbon dioxide. Make your own chalk. Blow
3 feet bubbles and learn the science of bubble making.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Explore Magnetism, the magnetic field, laws of magnetism, and
electromagnets. Learn about static electricity with balloons and
styrofoam. Explore the concept of atoms, electrons, and neutrons.
Explore the states of matter-melting, boiling, evaporation, and
sublimation. Study physical & chemical changes using
marshmallows, potatoes, fake snow. Check out tornadoes and
volcanoes. Fun experiments to replicate both. Study the
movement of molecules.
Dates: 5/13, 5/20, 5/27, 6/3, 6/10 (5 days) Fees: $105(includes $12.5 supply fee,

the Science Beginnings classes at KOLB ELEMENTARY. I will not hold Science Beginnings
and its staff liable of any accidents, physical or other injury from any claims, demands,
costs, expenses, and compensation. I will not hold Science Beginnings and its staff liable
for any injury, accident or misuse of any services and materials provided by the
organization and its staff. I have read the agreement, waiver and release statement. I
